A few months passed, nothing eventful really happened. Went to school, came home, planned for sweet sixteen, did homework then slept. But then this one night... let me just start from the beginning.
It was actually the day before our birthday and our party. We were out of school for some bad weather makeup day so I took that as an excuse to sit back an relax all day.
There actually wasn't much I really could do anyways saying as if it's April. April 5th to be exact. Thanks to time, Sophia and Whitney became very comfortable with me and Charlie being together. Charlie and I had actually become very close, as what a couple does.
I was in my room "doing my homework" when I heard a knock at my window. It wasn't something i was used to hearing because i old heard it whenever i was trying to sneak someone into the house. Of course, concerned who it was, I opened my window to see Charlie. "Um hey babe what are you doing clim-"
I was interrupted by his lips quickly smashing up against mine. Prematurely, I smiled until I snapped back to reality to continue asking my question.
"Charlie baby, why are you climbing through my window instead of walking through my front door?"
"Because I did something I probably should've not done and now I'm hiding." He sat to what I assumed was to think. "Now that i think about it, I probably shouldn't have come to your house."
He started worried me. I had no clue what he did and it started to scare me, leaving me to think of all the possibilities.
"What did you do?" I slowed him down.
"Well you know how about a week ago I told you that we were going to starbucks today? Well me and Ellie were talking and I found out that I wasn't supposed to tell you I that because afterwards we were going to surprise you with taking you to that escape room you always wanted to go to." Charlie covered his mouth so quickly as his eyes got wider.
I slowly pulled him into a hug and comforted him. It was obvious that my best friend had gotten into his head and the more he spoke the more he'd think he would be messing up. I ran my fingers through his head, knowing that that would calm him down.
"I'm dead aren't I?" He silently asked
"She's in your head. She might act like she's gonna kill you but I promise, you make me happy so she won't actually murder you."
After telling him all of this, I heard the front door slam "Speaking of Ellie, here she is now, HIDE!" He ran under my bed like the first time i had him hide in my room
"Where is he, I smell him!" Ellie almost growled
"Where is who?"
"CHARLES I KNOW YOU'RE IN THIS ROOM, COME OUT BEFORE I FIND YOU MYSELF!" she yelled.
"Ellie, chill. Why are you even this mad?"
"HE-" I sat her down so she could stop yelling "He basically spoiled your birthday plans. Such a crappy boyfriend."
I rolled my eyes "You have had your fair share of bad boyfriends"
"Shut up!" She pushed me playfully. "Ok I'm gonna go to Charlie's house"
"Why? He's righ-" I stopped myself before I had to become witness of his death. "He's right in his room, at least when we facetimed a few minutes ago thats where he was."
"Alrighty, thanks. See you at 5" She walked off and Charlie rolled up from underneath my bed.
"That was so close. I guess I'll see you at 5" He got up and started to collect himself
