Once out of the classroom
"Do you want my blood?" I question his intentions
"Huh?" He looks down on me "No..your blood taste awful anyway"
"Then what exactly are do you want?" He sighs
"I'm forced to take you back so you won't keep us waiting again" For a tough guy act he seems to give in to his brothers
"So that's why you were glaring during class" I respond nonchalantly.
"Hah?"
"Fine stay oblivious that you were scowling for the duration of the two hours" I look to the side exhaling
"You!..You watched me for that entire time?" He seems disturbed
"No but I presumed, and from your reaction I guess I'm right" I give a small smile and for some reason he whips his head to the side not letting me see his face. I'm reviewing my lessons in my head
"Are you good at mathetics?" The questions slips out of my mouth in a quiet voice. Not responding I answer "I'll take that as a no" He grunts.
Reaching outside I immediately spot the sakamaki limo being surrounded by girls. Making our way through we enter the limousine noticing a few of the brothers missing - Laito, Ayato and Yui. I sit down the same as before, between Subaru and Shuu waiting for the others to arrive. After a few minutes I hear the fan girls outside as the door opens letting in Laito and Yui with a scowling Ayato behind.
"Your late" Reiji says immediately earning a growl from Ayato.
"Gomen Reiji I got caught up in drinking Bitch-chan blood" I look at Yui. I still can't fathom that on a regular basis her blood gets suck by the Seiji sworn enemies - vampires. It really is ironic. Yui looks up making eye contact before awkwardly looking away I look down at my bag, I'm not sure if I'm happy attending school.
The limousine drives back to the mansion as I'm going through my emotions. My middle school memories are all hazy but overall they were pretty bitter, after all that's when..
The door slides opening taking away the warmth as I curl my fingers in my skirt in hopes to keep them warm. I sigh to myself as I get out of the limo, I'll most likely never get used to the cold.
Once inside I head straight up the stairs to my room in the far end of the mansion. Feeling slightly rejuvenate I sit down at the desk placing down my bag. I start on easier topic English going through the homework at a steady pace. Giving definitions, filling in words which I can easily answer there are some questions based on the book as I skim read chapters answering to the best of my abilities. I soon finish placing my work in my bag taking out my maths homework along with the several equations I wrote down.
I slowly begin to solve the first problem glancing at my notes every 5 seconds. Just as I'm on my second answer
KNOCK KNOCK
Somebody knocks on my door, I look to the side to see Subaru walk in.
"Dinner" I tilt my head to the side. "What?" He gruffs
"Just not used to it " I softly mumble looking back at my work. In the corner of my eye I see the wrapped up box taking it out.
"I've still got my lunch to eat" I'm not really hungry and I need to finish my lunch.
"Are you coming or what?" Subaru grabs my wrist in the middle of my deliberation.
"...sure" I answer. He lets go of my wrist and walk out I follow him
"So is there a reason why your brothers seem to pawn me as your responsibility?" I ask him as we walk down the hallway.
"..It's because we're in the same year" I sweat drop at his grouchy behaviour
"If only I was born a day before and you wouldn't have this problem" I say which makes him give a low growl. I ahead at his back as he walks on, he reminds me of the children that used to play at the church in the way he expresses his emotions.
We enter the dining hall with the others already present. I sit in the empty seat by Shuu and Subaru near the end of the table while yui sits opposite of Shuu. Sitting in front of a five course meal not knowing how to start I look to my left where Shuu is to see him sleeping in his chair not touching anything. Trying to figure out which fork to use as I grasp the knife hovering my hands over the forks.
"Right" Shuu mumbles out causing me to look up. Taking his hint I take the right fork, feeling slightly off as I press my knife down on the fish unexpectedly creating a clank noise. I close my eyes at the noise I don't have to look to know Reiji is looking at me. I hold in a sigh, 'why does this dinner feel more like a test?'. Bringing a small piece of tender fish to my mouth, slowly tasting it.
"Doll-chan" I look up still tasting the fish in my mouth "Is it possible you don't like Reiji cooking?" I look around seeing the brothers now are looking at me.
"This is the first time having fish" I place my fork and knife down feeling like I just failed a test.
"You've never had fish before?" Reiji questions me suspiously.
"It's not a common dietary in the church" I look down.
"So neither of you have had fish?" Reiji looks at me and Yui,
"Ah..no I have" Yui faults under his stern stare
"Mhm..then how come Doll-chan hasn't?" Laito pipes up Yui avoids making eye contact.
"Ah..erm..the church gave Lila a different diet" She doesn't sound convincing at all
"Huh?" Ayato looks at Yui.
"She also didn't know how sweets tasted" Kananto says out of nowhere.
"It appears you were raised quite differently compared to your sister" Reiji places his utensils on the plate. "If your on a diet due to your condition its standard to tell the people looking after you"
"Looking after" I say softly. I guess this is looking after me but..this isn't want I want.
"Oi Marshmallow" I raise my head to see the brothers looking at me I avoid their stares
"There isn't a spefic diet needed but I'm not quite sure if my stomach can handle new food types" I respond
Reiji sighs out of his nose "And what is your regular diet"
"Bread,water,milk and butter" The brothers eyes widen
"That's it?"Subaru who had been trying to ignore this whole thing raises his voice.
"You honestly can't expect us to belive that all you eat" Reiji snaps glaring at me
"Ehh..no wonder why Doll-chan is so thin" Laito comments
"Pancake that true?" Ayato questions Yui surpising her.
"Ah.well..Lila didn't eat with us so I don't know" Yui answers no surpise to me, she never came to my room so she wouldn't know.
"Did you guys even grow up together?" Shuu speaks up as both of us stay silent
"In any case your diet will not be permitted here" Reiji speaks sternly and I give up trying to eat the fish.
