I was startled when Jace growled loudly, snapping me out of my shock. How could another person do this when they didn’t even know me? What did I ever do to make him want to kill me? Maybe he didn’t want to kill me, just Jace. I bet this was the enemy pack that Jace was talking about when he killed that rogue.
“As soon as I can walk, I’m going over there and ripping his throat out.” Jace snarled, his

I watched as he attempted to get up from his bed, but in pain as he did so. Since I was healing fine and the pain wasn’t as bad, I got up and stood where he could see me. I grabbed his hand in mine and his body immediately calmed down. He stared at me, rage still in his eyes. I understood why he was mad. Any normal person would be furious.

If someone tried to kill me and someone I cared about, then I would be pretty pissed too. I wasn’t sure if Austin was trying to kill me or Jace, so that’s why I wasn’t as mad at him. Plus, Jace had a past with Austin that Jace never went into detail about. I didn’t even know this Austin guy so I kept myself calm, not letting my emotions get the better of me.

“Jace, you need to heal before we do anything crazy.” I said, trying to calm him down, and make sure that he doesn’t do anything stupid.
“No, that bastard tried to like my mate, and a pack’s Alpha. That can’t go unpunished. Austin will learn that if he even thinks about hurting my Luna again, he’ll be begging me for death.” Jace growled, getting more defensive of me, than ever before. I knew I had to do something, or Jace would risk his health to go hurt Austin.

“Babe, I really need you to calm down, and just focus on healing. Tomorrow you can go do whatever you want, but you have to stay here and rest.” I leaned over and pressed my lips against his, knowing that this was surely calm him down and that he would listen to me.

Instantly, he responded by kissing me intensely, surprising me. Before I knew it, Jace was on his knees, groaning as he did and pulling me underneath him. He laid back down on top of me, resting all his weight on his elbows, so he wasn’t crushing me. He continued to kiss me, even though I tried to protest. I wasn’t about to make out with Jace with Zack still in the room. Though, Jace’s tongue entered my mouth, causing me to start kissing back, not wanting this to end anymore.
“Aw, they grow up so fast.” Zack fake cried as he stared at us. I broke away from the kiss, as Zack spoke. I couldn’t help but blush, which amused both Zack and Jace. I rolled my eyes and went to wiggle underneath him to get him from on top of me, but he would put all his weight on me when I would try and push him off.
“I like this position.” He smirked down at me, and I knew Zack was still in the room, staring at us, laughing loudly.

“Doesn’t this hurt you?” I asked, knowing that his back was still hurting him to move, let alone, sit up and push me under him.

“Nope, I’m a fast healer. I’m feeling better already. I think it helps to know that I have your pretty face to look at the rest of the day.” He said, but I knew he was lying when he said he wasn’t in pain. I knew he was, but I wasn’t going to keep bothering him about it.

“I’m not staying here all day.” I replied, trying to stay serious but couldn’t help but let myself laugh.
“Oh, really? I think you like being here. Don’t you think so, Zack?” Jace said, smirking as he looked from me to Zack.
“God, I’m getting out of here while I still have my dinner left. Look, Jace, we’ll talk tomorrow once you’re better, about what we plan to do.” Zack said, walking out of the room, leaving Jace and I alone.
I was glad to see Jace in a better mood; anything was better than him angry and hurt. He went to kiss me again, but I turned my head so that he kissed my cheek. I gave him one of my most innocent smiles and he frowned.
“Don’t be such a tease.” He said, stroking my cheek.
