Eren's request was accepted. The couple would be sharing a cell. Levi could finally wake up and fall asleep in Eren's arms. Mornings would be pleasurable again and nights wouldn't be as dreadful. He would be able to sleep all night.
Levi and his cellmate were escorted to a slightly larger room with four beds instead of two. The raven wasn't fond of sharing a room with his cellmate and Eren, but he would be with his husband. He wasn't sure whether Eren would like the idea either.
So Levi sat patiently on his cot for Eren. Perhaps not so patiently...his knees were folded into his chest as he tapped his feet against the uncomfortable cot. His cellmate was laying in the bed across from Levi, his head resting on his arms, and a cigarette dangling from his lips. The smell of the smoke caused Levi to bury his nose in his knees, anything to get away from the burning rat poison stench.
He needed his mind to be off the pesky cellmate. And without much effort, his subconscious brought him to Eren. Of better times not locked behind steel bars. When they were a normal couple.
"Don't worry, your boy toy will be here soon."
Levi looked up from the shelter of his knees to see his cellmate sitting up now. The cell was dim and the shadows from the bunk bed gave him a menacing look. His eyes glowed with the orange blaze of the cigarette. He stood once Levi's insipid gaze was on him. His shoulders rolled back in a way that brought Levi's hand to the razor blade beneath his pillow again. Instead of advancing towards Levi, he leaned against the bars with his arms above his head. His gaze shifted around as if he were searching for something.
And a smile lifted the blonde's features once something caught his eye.
"Looks like they're bringing him now."
Levi's head whipped towards the bars and immediately bolted to the cell door. His husband was being escorted by a chubby officer along with a prisoner who towered over Eren. When the couple locked eyes, Eren smiled from ear to ear. If it weren't for the bars, Levi would've rushed to him, but he had to wait for the officer to unlock the cells and uncuff Eren's wrists.
The second he was let go, Eren collided with his husband, wrapping his hands around the raven's waist and burying his head in his shoulder. Levi returned the anaconda hold with his own, letting his husband lift him off the ground. Neither paid any attention to the two other cellmates or to the officer locking them in their prison again.
Eren pressed his lips to the raven's, something they both desired so much it ached. They were finally together again. Nothing else mattered. Levi would be able to sleep again, he could feel safe again.
"I hope you're not planning on getting straight to fucking, we're still in the room."
The couple became irritatingly aware of their two cellmates. Levi's feet returned to the ground, but he was thankful Eren's arm remained around his waist. The blond had a smirk displayed on his lips. "You must be the fucker terrorizing my husband," Eren said, his grip tightening around Levi. The blond stood rolling his shoulders. He was taller and wider than Eren, but the brunet didn't flinch when he approached the couple.
"Reiner Braun," he introduced himself while holding out his hand for Eren to shake. Levi didn't know if it was because of Eren's right arm wrapped around his waist or the distrust of Reiner, but he didn't take the blond's hand. Instead, he led Levi to the bed and sat on the edge of the cot, leaving Reiner smirking at the cement wall. "I would rather you not come anywhere near my husband," Eren pulled the raven down to the mattress with him and wrapping both arms around his waist.
Reiner turned to the couple with a devious smirk still gracing his lips. "A bit hard to do in these confined spaces, but I'll do my best."
