25. By The Sea

"That was horrible," Levi groaned.

The couple had landed in Greece for the new year. Eren had planned the trip, and while Levi hated flying he could never say no to spending time with Eren.

"It wasn't too bad," Eren commented as he brought an arm around Levi's waist. A kiss was placed to the crown of Levi's head causing his knees to grow weak.

"Wasn't too bad? I think I have the smell of that man's shoes burned into my nostrils."

Eren chuckled at Levi's complaining, remembering the man that sat beside the couple removing his shoes for the entirety of their flight.

"And that woman was ogling you the entire time from across the aisle."

"Is that why you were clinging onto me?" Eren teased, "Had to stake your claim, hmm?"

"It didn't matter," Levi grumbled, "she never stopped staring."

Eren hummed, knowing if someone had been salivating over Levi during the flight, he'd be in a sour mood about them as well. But in such a public space, neither could do anything to remedy someone's obvious ogling.

"Well, she's not the lucky one, she doesn't get to have me all to herself." Eren leaned down to kiss Levi's cheek, his nose pressing into his skin.

Levi hummed as he watched their taxi finally pull up beside them. "I'm the lucky one?"

"Mhm," Eren hummed as he walked to the back of the cab to pop the trunk. "But I'm the luckiest."

Levi rolled his eyes but a smile tugged at his lips.

The couple scooted into the backseat of the cab once their luggage was stored away. Levi immediately leaned into Eren as the cab began to move. And Eren wrapped the raven in his arms, a loving kiss pressed to his head.

"What are we doing in Greece?" Levi asked.

"Am I not allowed to treat you to a relaxing vacation?"

"You call a ten hour flight relaxing?"

Eren chuckled, his hold tightening on Levi. "Not exactly, but I promise, by the end of this trip, you'll never want to go back home."

"Hm, we'll see."

The cab stopped on a cobblestone road that overlooked the shore. Eren thanked the driver before turning to Levi, "We'll have to walk the rest of the way." He smiled as if that were no problem, but Levi's jet lagged limbs were already protesting.

But he followed Eren without complaining. They walked with their luggage along the cobblestone path, approaching the shore. All buildings they passed were white with a look that suggested they were carved out of the mountainous landscape.

Eren stopped at a building that looked like every other to talk to an older woman sweeping at the entrance step. She directed the couple inside where a man of a similar age stood behind a desk.

Eren told the man of their reservation, taking the keys excitedly. He took the raven's hand and brought him to a small hotel room that overlooked a private pool by the sea.
