With my new found confidence in myself, I get up and start walking again. I don't know where I am going, but I just want to get as far away from the lab as possible. As I'm walking I hear a faint rumbling sound. I stop and look around. Ready for something to jump out of nowhere. But all is quiet. I think to myself that maybe it was just my stomach. After all I hadn't eaten in over twenty four hours. As I continue walking out of the area, I can't shake the feeling that there is something hiding. Just waiting for the right moment to pounce. I know I would be much safer using my powers, but getting out of the lab and the run had drained me so much. As I trudge along I start to see lights ahead of me. I breathe a sigh of relief and start to run again. As I am running something pulls my leg out from under me and drags me backwards. I try to scream, but a hand clamps over my mouth. Before I can use my powers or think of a way out, we fall backwards and something hits me in the head. Everything goes black.
