(Y/N) is your name.

You've always kind of been the "Bird Woman" to everyone. So you gave in. Birds were your life. And You don't think anyone or anything that can change that anytime soon.. Life on Earth was boring. You couldn't fly and your family tried to put you in a psych ward because you heard strange music from the woods. You're not crazy. And neither is your pet cockatoo, piper. She absolutely loves to sing.

"(Y/N)! School! NOW!" Your Mother roared, "AND IF I CATCH YOU HOLDING THAT RETCHED CHICKEN ON THE BUS YOU'RE GROUNDED AND THAT BURD GOES IN THE OVEN!"

She's not even a chicken, mother.

"O-Okay Mum.." you called our holding chicken tighter. "Alright Piper." You whispered, "Today's the day. Today is the day we run away!!" You whispered getting a little excited.

Life wasn't bad for you.. It was just boring. And you felt out of place trying to do your best. Everyone just held you back. So you did what you thought best for yourself. You hunched down to the level of your bed frame and reached under just enough to grab your hiking pack.

"Got it!" You'd prepares everything you would need to be the person you wanted to be.

"I am myself." You looked at Piper, "I am not my parents. So I am going to think like, me! C'mon time to go!"

She flapped to your shoulder and you checked the backpacks contents one more time... Feather cloak? Check. Bird mask? Check. Bird claws? Check. Knives? Check. Snacks? Piper squawked. Check. Clothes? Check. Favourite books? Check! Journal and pencils? Check!!!

You ran out to the bus, "Oh!! Piper get in my pocket." She slid in your big pocket and poked her head out, "No one can see you!" So you poked her head back in and left out the door.

After your Mum left you pretended to get on the bus.

"(Y/N) you coming?" The bus driver yawned.

"Oh! I uh- forgot something! You can go I'll walk!"

"Alright." She closed the doors and drove off.

You sprinted across the road as fast as you could with a heavy backpack and a bird jumping around in your pocket. You stop in front of the greenery of the forest, yellow, brown, green. It was all so much. You've been in the drab, grey city for so long that being in something so natural excited your nerves. "This is it, Piper. This is the day that we leave." You pull your feather cloak around your shoulders and stride off into the forrest.

An hour later, with your feet still padding across the damp mossy ground.

"Oh this smell." You took an inhale; it was like a drug. "I want to put this smell into a candle and like.. Eat it. It's so amazing."

You plant yourself on a long wondering what to do next.. "I guess I'll read then." You pulled your pack to the side and pulled out a book, "Neverland." You grinned. This an awfully big adventure to fit in the bonds of a book.

You clap the book shut and sigh sadly, "If I were Wendy I would've stayed in Neverland." You rub your eyes and look up, "I believe it's getting dark huh, Piper." You pull your pocket to the side with your pointer finger to reveal a white bird, sleeping her problems away. "Wish I could do that." You crinkle your brows a bit. And walk over to a tree, falling into a dark, somewhat please tell sleep.

In this dream you were flying, being carried by a peculiar dark being, "Oh this is odd. It feels so real but so... Unordinary." Turning your neck you could see a pair of eyes, "Is this real?" You ask a little loudly so the wind wouldn't talk over you.
