Kirstie’s POV
I’m so nervous about tonight. And a little upset at Mitch for not letting me pay for anything.
“Mitch, I can pay for my hair and nails. You don’t have to pay for anything.” I told him while I was waiting for my nails to dry.
“It’s fine Kirst. I want you and Scott to have a perfect date. I’ve got the restaurant planned and I’m paying so no buts.” Mitch told me.
He is so nice, but how is Scott agreeing to this?
“Does Scott know you’re paying for everything?” I asked him.
Mitch started to smile then shook his head. I let out a little laugh.
Scott’s POV
“This fits perfectly!” I exclaimed to Avi.
“Wow! Mitch knows what to get when it comes to clothes.” Avi said with a chuckle.
“So Avi, where’s Kevin been? He was kind of rushing during rehearsals.” I asked.
“Oh yeah, well Kevin met a girl. Her name is Kasey.”
“Aww… Kurvy has a girlfriend. Kurvy has a girlfriend!” I said teasingly like he was there. “Anyways, let’s go pay!” I marched to the check out.
Before I handed her my card to pay for the blazer and the pants, Avi whispered something into the cashier’s ear. She smiled and printed a receipt and Avi signed it. Gosh, I hate when people pay for me when I’m perfectly capable to pay myself.
“Avi, you know I hate it when people pay for me when I can pay for myself.” I told him as we walked out of the store towards the car.
“I didn’t pay Scotty Boy. It was Mitch.” Avi replied.
“Ugh…Mitch knows perfectly well that I don’t like him paying for me.” I said a little aggravated.
Mitch’s POV
Kirstie is going to look absolutely stunning. My phone started to ring and the caller ID showed it was Scott.
“Hey Scottland! How was shopping?”
“Good. I owe you big time.”
“Nah…my gift to you guys.”
“You know I don’t like it when people pay for me.” He told me.
“Well you are going to have to get over it Scotty.” With that I hung up on him.
I felt a pang of guilt because I never hang up on anyone especially not one of my best friends. I soon got over the feeling and went back and talked to Kirstie. I hope they are ready for what I have planned.
