Kirstie’s POV

Scott escorted me to the car after his little experience with my roommate.

“Where are we going Scott?” I asked.

“I have no idea Kirst. Mitch set up everything and gave me his credit card to pay for dinner.” Scott replied.

Mitch paying for dinner and Scott is okay with it? This is not going to end well.

Scott’s POV

I’m so nervous about tonight. I think my anxiety is messing with my emotions.

We finally arrived at a very fancy, high quality restaurant. I think it was called Palm Woods. Okay, I’m terrified of what might happen if I get used.

“Are you excited?” I asked Kirstie as I held her hand.

“Yep!” She flashed me a big smile and gave me a peck on the cheek.

Kirstie’s POV

The restaurant looked beautiful and so elegant. Mitch is the best! He deserves something for his generosity to Scott and myself.

“Hoying. Reservations for two.” Scott said to the guy.

“Right this way.”

The guy brought us to a back room, which was huge and stunning.

“I hope everything is to your liking, Mr. Hoying. Your waiter will be here to take your order momentarily.”

“Thank-you.”

The guy soon left and I was speechless.

“Scott, our best friend is the sweetest for going through all this trouble for us.” I told Scott.

“I know! He deserves a gift of some sort.” He replied.

Scott’s POV

Dinner was almost over and it was magnificent. A violinist came and played a couple songs for us. We danced and goofed around.

By the time we finished eating we were worn out. Nothing bad has happened yet and I think I am going to freak out now.

“Sir, your bill.” The waiter said handing me the enclosed bill pad. When I looked at the total, I freak out. ‘I knew this was going to happen.’ I thought to myself.

“Eight hundred and seventy-five dollars and ninety-seven cents!? Are you kidding me?” I yelled loudly.

“Scott, honey, chill out. Mitch got it…”

“No! I’m tired of him paying for me.” I yelled, cutting her off.

Oh my gosh! I just yelled at Kirstie. I never yell. I saw tears forming in her eyes but she withheld them from falling.

Kirstie’s POV

He just yelled at me. I can’t deal with him right now.

“I…I’m going to wait in the car.” I told him.

“Kirst…I…I’m sorry.”

“Just give me the keys and meet me at the car.” I told him.

“Kirstie please. I’m sor…”

I interrupted him, “Hoying! Keys. Now.”  I demanded.
