"Hope! Just leave it!"

No, I got this!

Breaking the connection, her paws kept on going faster and faster while her eyes kept locked on the target as it fled for its' life that would soon end by the young Mikaelsons' hand.

Ugh! This form, it's too big!

I'll never catch up in time!

SCREW IT!

As she leaped off of the ground, the sound of bones starting to crack filled the air as she began to transform back into what she once was before this hunt started and using enhanced speed, she dove right for it and locked eyes with the rabbit. The fear and absolute terror drove her crazy and fueled the adrenaline within her, but unfortunately; someone had other plans.

"Agh!"

Sky decided to take the initiative and go after Hope as her bloodlust had enhanced greatly over the past few days and today, on the hunt, she just saw something that didn't need a life as much as she did and ran after it. Being knocked into the ground, he stayed in his Werewolf form as she struggled to get out, but it was no use as Diane and Riley caught up with bloodbags in their hands and forced one into her mouth.

"Hope, are you crazy?! Why did you go without blood for a month?!" Diane asked, absolutely bewildered at her best friends sudden change.

"Let me guess, it was one of your experiments again?" Sky questioned, going back to his original form and his brown eyes burning holes into her blue eyes.

"I. . .I wanted to see how far one could go before bloodlust took over, and it's different with me being both Werewolf and Vampire. It made me so strong," The veins had pulsed out of her eyes with more color and eyes were sharper, but she was easily blinded by the fierce hunger and thirst that could've easily killed someone on the street because of it.

"Let me guess, you've been hanging around your dad too much? OW! The hell, Diane?!" Riley cried out after Diane back handed him across the face and her eyes flashed a dangerous purple.

"Niklaus Mikaelson helped create our school to protect us. He's expressed that he's ashamed of who he used to be! Yes, Hope doesn't attend our school, but only because her family is traditional and homeschools her! Trust me, you'd know if he was putting ideas into her head. I'm out of here. Come on, Hope," Diane was one of the few people who didn't fear Hopes' dad, but respected him. She knew what it was like to be a murderer because of your parents who forged you that way without even considering the consequences.

"Hope, I-I didn't mean-"

"Shut it, Riley. I can hear the fear in your voice," Hope snapped at him before taking Diane by the hand and we sped off towards the Mikaelson household.

Even after almost eighteen years, I guess you can't rid fear out of everyone, Hope thought sadly before taking off, despite the calls for her and Diane.

"Well, you can't change their minds once they've been made up, Hope. Trust me, I've tried," Cami, Hopes step-mother and wife to Niklaus Mikaelson, explained to Hope and Diane while she got ready for the party tonight. No children allowed.

"But he isn't like that anymore!"

"Hope, say something were to happen to you. Like, you're the Soulmate to Satan. How do you think your dad would feel? He'd feel like it was all his fault because he takes responsibility for anything that happens to you. His fear for you is like how they fear him. And there's no changing that," Cami explained to her step-daughter and although felt bad about having to tell her that some people will always fear Niklaus, she knew that it best be told to her now than later.

"Cami, are you ready?" Rebekah asked as she strutted her way into the shared room of her brother, Niklaus, and Cami dawning a black dress with a slip trailing from the thigh to where it ended, scarlet red lipstick and smoky eye eyeshadow.

"Yeah, just need to get my heels."

"Your father and uncles are already out, but Niklaus told me to tell you that you can have your friends over tonight. Take care, darling," Rebekah told her beloved niece before pecking her on the forehead and going downstairs.

"Have fun, but don't get pregnant!"

"Cami!" Hope shouted in embarrassment while Diane chuckled. Despite Hope having the biggest family ever, she felt like she couldn't really talk to anyone most of the time. The Mikaelsons portrayed strength, and she knew very well of the title of her last name, so she decided to confide in her friends, but that was only sometimes. Knowing that keeping things bottled up was extremely unhealthy, she wrote it all down in a diary, and hid it very well.

"Well, what are we gonna do?"

"We're-"

"-not gonna invite the guys over, that's what!" Hope announced, and Diane scrolled through her spell book while a thought crossed her mind. It was risky and knowing her family will be with the Mikaelsons, they'd be in so much trouble for it, unless they disguise themselves.

"I have an idea," Hope perked up at this as Diane twirled a mask on her fingers.

"What is it?"

"We're getting into that masquerade ball. Tonight."
