"I've been down the darkest alleys
Saw the dark side of the moon
To get to you, to get to you
I've looked for love in every stranger
Took too much to ease the anger
All for you, yeah, all for you
I've been running through the jungle
I've been crying...
"Why do I have to play with him? He's got cooties, mommy!" Young Hope Mikaelson complained to her mother, Hayley, as she helped dress her for her play-date with one of the young boys from the Werewolf pack. Hayley had to admit she was quite surprised when Klaus came to her with the idea of their daughter playing with a boy from the pack, but only because Klaus didn't want any vampires to touch his littlest wolf. Although very different from eachother, Hayley and Klaus both want the same things for their daughter. Happiness and love. If she grew up knowing a boy, or all the boys, from the pack, perhaps she'd fall in love and be able to live the life that they want for her.
"Because mommy and daddy want what's best for you. We want you to be happy, find a boy you like, and-oh my god!" Hayley screamed out, dropping the pink dress she had picked out for her little girl and saw a tattoo on her back! Everyone in the household heard the scream and rushed towards the room to see Hayley staring at a certain spot on her daughters back.
"Is that a tattoo?!" Hayley pointed to the marking on Hopes' body and Rebekah got on her knees and looked at the so called 'tattoo'. It was an Angels wing, only there was one wing. Stretching from the top middle of her back to her shoulder-as if it were a baby wing.
"No, the engravings stand out too much. You can feel the tracings of it," Rebekah spoke the truth and Klaus, although looked calm and composed on the outside, was raging within. The witches were at peace with them, so was the vampires, so who did this and why?
"A-Am I in trouble, daddy?" Hope stuttered out, tears clouding her green orbs and Klaus bent down to her level as she shut her eyes, the tears falling and he wiped them away as her bottom lip quivered.
"Never, my littlest wolf. Do you know who did this to you?" He asked her carefully and she snifled, calming down and said something that surprised them all.
"God said that it means I'll find my soulmate soon. I'm okay, daddy."

"She's the best I've known of, Niklaus. She can tell us the truth," Elijah reassured his brother as he approached the door. Elijah called upon a Psychic woman he knew and she had great recommendations from others as well.
"Missouri Moseley."
"Elijah Mikaelson. It's great to see you again," Missouri greeted him kindly and he gestured for her to come inside. Missouri knew well of The Original Family, for she had helped out Elijah a few times in the past and when he told her of this over the phone, she feared the greatest for the young Mikaelson.
"Hope, sweetie, this is Missouri. Say hi," Hayley set her daughter down and Hope looked up at the Psychic woman with curiosity. Just yesterday she told everyone that she was fine, and then they bring this woman to tell her if she's going to be fine? It made no sense to her.
"Hi, Hope. I'm Missouri," Missouri was fascinated with her. It was unheard of for this to happen, and despite the many rumors about the littls girl, she looked at Hope and saw a miracle of life.
"Hi!"
"I'm going to need to see that marking on your back, baby. May I?" She looked to Hayley and she nodded. Hope turned around and Missouri lifted up the back of her shirt and immediately spotted the gray and black wing on the right side of her back. Lightly touching it, she felt the engravings stick out from her skin, and then she gasped as a vision came into her mind.
"I've had this since I was a kid. Missouri said my soulmate would have the same one."
"I have one like that, but it's on my right side."
Pulling away, the shirt fell back down her back, shielding the marking from all eyes as Missouri stood up in panic.
"What is it? What did you see? Will she be alright?" Klaus threw questions at her rapidly and she understood his concern, but wanted to keep the truth from him. But better to deal with it now than later.
"Hope will be absolutely fine. That mark will not hurt her, but it was out there for a reason. . .By God himself," She proclaimed and all eyes stared at her, awaiting for her to say more despite the internal shock going through their minds right now. Why did God put this on her? Since it won't bring any harm to her, than what is it for?
Taking one final look around the room at the shocked and urgent faces, she said something that would forever change their plans for Hope.
"Have you heard of soulmates?"
