•Mason's POV•

I'm getting Julia to come by my house after school to talk about what we're going to do about Jade. I'm not sure if we should just tell her the truth, or come up with a different plan. For the rest of the day, I didn't hear one peep out of Jade, as if she knows what we're doing already.

The bell rung and she got up and left quickly, I sighed and started out too. Then I thought of Stefan, ever since he stormed out of history this morning, I haven't seen him. I'm guessing he went home, and I don't blame him, he was off his rocker.

I walked out of the school, and started toward my car, Julia was already waiting there for me, "Unlock the doors, I don't want Jade to see me." I took the keys out of my pocket and unlocked the car, she quickly opened the door and got in. I got in too and started up the car, "Y'all are living together right?" She nodded, "Yeah, so I'm pretty sure I'll get a text from her in a few minutes asking where I am."

I nodded, and pulled on to the busy street. The roads started clearing as we got deeper into the woods, then we finally got into the pack house. We got out and almost everyone looked up at us, to Julia, mostly. I nodded to them telling them she's cool, and they continued what they where doing.

I nodded in the direction of the door to Julia and started walking towards the house, she followed me silently. Once we got inside, even more people looked at us, I told them all that she's fine in mind link. We headed up the stairs and I lead her into my office, once I shut the door she spoke, "I felt like an alien out there." I smiled, "We're just very cautious when it comes to rouges."

She pointed her index finger at me,"Tecnally, I'm not a rouge, just a rouge to y'all. I still run with a pack." I raised my hands in defeat, "Exuse me." I walked to the desk and took a seat in my chair. "So, what are we going to do? I don't think we can just tell her straight out."

"No, definitely not." she shook her head, "I brought the movie 21 Jump Street when she got the news about her dad, she didn't even crack a smile. She can't handle things good." I frowned, thinking of her in pain. "But," Julia started, "the entire drive here I was thinking of what to tell you when I get here, and I thought about setting her up."

I raised my eyebrows, about to question what he was talking about, but she interrupted me, "Hold on- the plan is that I'll trick her into going to a club with me this weekend or something, and you be there. I tell her that now is as good as a time as any, and she'll follow you to the back."
I nodded, "Then?"

She shook her head, "That's all I got." I sighed, "I was actually starting to like that plan."

She shrugged, I smiled, "Did i forget to mention that Jades my mate?" a smile tore across her face, "Are you serious? Why didn't you tell me that before?!"
She stood up and put her hands on my desk, " Now I have so many new plans." I smiled, an then Stefan walked in, talking as soon as he opened the door, "Mason, I think I'm going crazy!" Julia's head snapped in his direction, Stefan was looking at me the looked to her. Lust filled his eyes, and I knew what was happening. Stefan's been acting crazy because he could sense Julia everywhere, he could smell her on Jade in history.

Julia took her hands off my desk and walked to him, her entire face softened. She cupped his cheek with her hand, he breathed deeply and pulled her into him. Nice move. I thought to myself, then I realized how weird it is that I'm just sitting here while they're experiencing the best moment in their life. I would know.

Stefan looked down at her lips, trying to decipher weather or not to kiss her, but she didn't make him choose, she stood on her toes and kissed him, softly at first then harder and more intense. I nodded to myself, quickly stood up and left.

•Jade's POV•

I'm pissed at Julia. I wasn't real happy she showed up here in the first place, and now she's most likely telling Mason everything. My whole plan is ruined. I went straight home after school. (Should I even call it home?) Mainly to come up with a new UNBREAKABLE plan.

I twirled the silver bullet around my fingers as I slumped in my desk chair. I made a list in my mind about everything I knew:

1) Mason killed Dylan's wife and son, (for reasons not known yet)

2) Dylan hired me to capture him, or kill him, for money.

3) Mason, so far, has not shown any dangerous signs. I feel as if Julia's right, he seems like a nice guy.

4) Julia is here, and theres a 99.9% chance she's telling Mason about what I'm doing.

5) I'm going to go to hell.

I do finally understand why Julia didn't want me to get me to this business. Some day, it's going to get into me too much, like making good friends here. (Stefan, Amara, Blake, Liam, Eric..) I just wish I never accepted this job.

I think that everyday pretty much, then right as I want to quit, I get a message concerning my dad, and I push the thoughts away. I might come up with a new plan, because my last one had too much seducing and chloroform. I signed at I laid my forehead down on my desk, "When did my life get this complicated?"

"AND WHY IS HE SO HOT?" I grumbled. In all seriousness, how can someone be so attractive? A part of my heart pulls me toward him, and the other says to walk away. Don't hurt him, don't fall in love with him, just go home and never look back. But there is still a single percent in my heart telling me to finish it for my dad.

I sit up and walk out onto my balcony, the thick forest spreads out as far as I can see. I closed my eyes, and tried thinking about anything good about my life. The only think that comes to mind is my mom. My face crumbles remembering her tucking me in at night, getting onto me without praying before eating. Then I started crying.

I wished I still has that wonderful life. Then I think, did I ever really have a good life? Or were those just dreams I made up? I started crying harder. I only have my dad, an I'm not going to lose him like I did mom.

•Mason's POV•

I sat in the living room waiting for Stefan and Julia to finish their time together. I wouldn't want anyone interrupting of Jade and I were making out.

My little sister popped into the room, she looked around and saw me, her face broke out into a smile. She ran and jumped onto the couch so she was sitting beside me, "When am I going to get to meet your maaattee?" She complained, ever since I mentioned Jade, she has been pushing me to take her with me to meet her.

"I don't know, Lina, hopefully soon." I told her, she frowned and sighed, "Can't you just bring her here? Isn't that what mates do?" I laughed, "Yes, they do that, someday, it will happen with Jade and I. But like said before, she is a human, and she doesn't know about werewolf's yet."

"Then just tell her. That's what I would do." I raised my eyebrows, and she gave me a bright daring smile. Then I shook my head, "You have no idea how much I would like to do that, but I would scare her off. Plus there's.. These complications with something, so we're going to deal with that."

"We'll, hurry, I want to meet her sooo bad!" She said hugging me again, then jumping up I follow the other kids.

I honestly do want to tell her, more that you would ever think, but she will freak out. Might even move back to Oklahoma, and I won't- no- I can't let that happen. I can just imagine her now, her long blonde hair, her perfect blue-grey eyes. I can't lose her.
I closed my eyes, wanting her with me right now. I took a deep breath, my wolf howled at me, he wants me to go to her now, but I can't.

It won't hurt anyone to go in wolf form. We both know you need to see her, lets go. He reasoned. I slowly nodded, no harm done by going and seeing her in wolf form.

Julia and Stefan will be busy for quite a while, talking in between their many kisses. So I'm free to go. I start out the back an into the woods, strip, and turn into my black wolf. No harm done, I told myself as I raced away to Jade's house.
