Maybe it's better to feel;
Alive and at risk in a dangerous place,
Than sheltered by artificial steel;
Where life is an empty, meaningless case.

   The dandelions that populated the grassy fields reminded me of all the mundane humans that roamed the Earth. All of them were so similar, trying their very best to grow towards the sunlight.

   Their goal was to strive to almost touch the flaming ball of yellow light. Unfortunately, they never quite made it because each and every single one of them would wilt before they got more than a foot closer to the sun's warmth.

   All of the ancient, humongous trees that were full of conglomerated branches; looked like awkward, twisted arms to me. It reminded me of the sinful, disgusting hands that belonged to the nun's that ruled the former hell I was in.

   Nobody should have the right to call that hideous place an, 'Orphanage'. If anyone dared to, I would surely give them a sharp slap to the face.

   There was an insect that fluttered its elegant wings as it flew in a circle around me. It was pitch black in colour, and it reminded me of a miniature dark angel.

It didn't have any designs on it's thick wings which was almost impossible for a butterfly. And no, it wasn't a moth.

   It's legs looked like pieces of small cut, ebony embroidery-floss. I noticed that when it willingly landed onto my finger as if it were a delicate petal. I admired the strange creature for awhile until I noticed that it had stopped moving.
