Sick?

A month later
I wake up with a queasy feeling in my stomach. I lay there trying to breath through it, but I then have to get up and run to the bathroom.

I lay my head against the tub, and Ian comes into my room with a plate. "Katie?" He asks them he walks into the bathroom. "Are you Okay?!" He asks sitting the plate next to me. The smell of bacon reaches my nose, and I start puking again. "Get the plate out of here!" I say and he nods then leaves.

He comes back and looks at me shocked, concerned, and confused. "What's wrong, Katie?!" He asks. "Call Nina!" I say and he nods.

I look at the door when I hear footsteps, and see just Nina. "Katie?! Are you Okay?!" She asks and I shake my head. "I woke up feeling like I was gonna puke. Then Ian brought me some breakfast, but I threw up again at the smell of the bacon." I say and she stares at me with an absent look. "When was you last period?" She asks. "I don't know!" I say then throw my head in my hands. "I'm gonna go get some pregnancy tests. I'll be back." She says and I nod.

The door opens, and Nina walks back in with a bag. "I got four different kinds. Take all of them." She says and I nod.

"Are they showing up?" She asks from outside the door. "I don't know. I'm scared to look. Come on in." I say then open the door and she falls back. "Sorry." I say and we both laugh. "I'll check two, you check the other two?" I ask and she nods. I hand her two, then look at mine. "One positive, one negative." I say and she looks at me shocked. "Two positive!" She says and I slowly sink to the floor with my back against the wall.

"You and Joseph are gonna have a kid!" She squeals and I shake my head. "Nina, what am I gonna do?! What if he doesn't want a kid?! What if he leaves me?! What did I just do?!" I ask crying and she pulls me into her lap. "It's okay, Katie! Everything will be okay!" She says and I hide my head in her chest. "You can not tell anyone!" I say and she nods.

I hang up then throw myself back into my bed. I don't even know if I want to be pregnant or not!
