Victoria sighed, taking the cigarette away from her mouth to blow out the sour-tasting smoke. The pines towered above her and Iseul in the pitch black as they laid down on the abandoned mattress in the middle of the pool. It had been two days since they'd seen the boys. They had all exchanged numbers before they left, but Victoria hadn't heard anything.

Almost as if summoned by her thoughts, a message popped up on her phone that she held over her face. Taehyung had created a group chat with everyone in it. Two more messages followed the first.

A laugh escaped her and she was about to type a reply, but Iseul let out a long sigh from where her head rested on Victoria's stomach

A laugh escaped her and she was about to type a reply, but Iseul let out a long sigh from where her head rested on Victoria's stomach.

"What?" she asked. "You don't like the group chat?"

Iseul exhaled again. "It's not that. I just haven't heard from Jungkook in a few hours and I'm getting worried."

She checked the time. Almost nine thirty. "Maybe he's having a late dinner with his family."

"My sister's here," Iseul announced before sitting up, ignoring her suggestion. "I'll see you."

Victoria sat up as well, and watched her walk over to the rim to hoist herself up. "Talk to you in the group chat," she called. "I'm sure Jungkook is fine!" Still no response. "Walk safely!"

Her phone kept pinging, so she glanced at it momentarily while putting out her cigarette butt.
