Jin smiled as the sea breeze ruffled his soft locks. The ocean was so serene for him, especially at times like this. The past week had been nothing short of bliss for him. One might even say it was serendipity. He sure would.
These were the things he wanted to hold onto forever. That's why he brought his camcorder everywhere, even to the beach as he sat in his truck. He was filming the wind ruffling the waves, but he looked to the passenger seat, and turned the camera on Victoria, who was staring at the view peacefully.
The second she realized he was filming, she covered her face. "Jin! I'm not wearing makeup! Don't film me!"
Her shrieks were a source of amusement for him, and he giggled before turning his camera off. "Fine, fine."
The windows were down all the way, creating a perfect draft for the salty air to fill their senses. Victoria closed her eyes as she laid back, a small smiling creeping onto her face when Jin started to toy with her fingers.
"You know what's odd?" he ventured.
Victoria only hummed in response.
"You're not trying to kill me right now."
A smirk tugged at her lips. "Why would I try to kill you?"
"Because I'm touching you."
"I like it when you touch me," she mumbled.
A long sigh left him as he tried not to take that the wrong way. But it wasn't exasperated. He was glad for, and a bit wary of, her sudden change of heart. Still, though, that fear of her swatting his hand away or abruptly slapping him always crossed his mind before he did anything.
She opened her eyes to find him staring at their hands. He lifted her ring finger before letting it drop again. She sighed contently and twined their fingers, leaning in to peck his lips lightly. It surprised him, but he didn't dislike it.
As they pulled away, his eyes brightened. "Wait. I have an idea."
Before she could react, he shifted his truck into drive and did a one-eighty so that the trunk was facing the ocean. It was so quick that she just sat there wide-eyed as he exited the vehicle.
Victoria was more than curious of what he was up to, but she didn't have to question anymore when he opened her door and held out his hand to help her out.
She took it and stepped down swiftly, cheeks pink. "Such a charmer."
"I prefer gentleman."
He accompanied her to the trunk and helped her in. She crawled in on her knees and watched him sit with his back against the body, head next to the little window that Jimin loved to yell through.
Jin opened his arms for her, and she quickly laid back against him, getting comfy in his embrace. He placed a gentle kiss to her temple and rested his forehead there.
The wind died down a bit, but managed to blow in a few clouds that were scattered across the sky like marbles of fluff.
"I feel kind of guilty," he admitted quietly.
Victoria stroked his hand with her thumb. "Why?"
"I told Hoseok we would all come here, but I got a bit selfish." He nuzzled her neck, making her laugh. "I wanted it just for you and me."
She leaned her head back to look at him, the sun kissing her pale skin. "I guess we'll have to bring them here, then."
He hummed in approval and pressed his lips to hers. The slow rhythm at which he kissed her was always soothing, and it was especially nice how in sync they seemed.
