I lied, because there's no reason to love someone like me.

Jimin watched Hoseok's fluid movements through the camera on his iPhone. Even still, he was envious of how easily these things came to his best friend. Jimin practiced day and night to match his skill level, but he always stumbled. He always fell short.
But he loved Hoseok. That's why he never said anything.
A giggle escaped him when he turned to face Jimin and snapped his fingers in his direction. But the smile fell away from his lips when Jisoo entered the room with a cake that had lit candles on it.
She rushed to Hoseok. "Happy birthday!" she beamed.
Of course it was for Hoseok. Jimin knew she was taken with him,but even so, he couldn't help but want her for himself.
Without realizing, he zoomed the camera in on her face as Hoseok responded. She turned to look at him, and he quickly lowered his phone, pretending to text someone.
Jisoo beckoned him over, and together they watched Hoseok blow out the candles.

Jimin knew it was a bad idea to invite Jisoo to practice with him alone. Especially since she didn't seem too thrilled. But to get around it, he said that Hoseok wanted them to.
Which was a lie.
But he didn't think she would come otherwise.
Once she was there, they ran the routine a couple times, and Jimin thought he was doing alright. Until he lost his footing and stumbled into her with so much force that she hit the ground with a loud thud.
He almost didn't hear it because of the searing pain in his arm. When he fell, he'd landed on a nail that was lying around because of some new boards they'd installed on the ceiling.
The piece of metal was imbedded deep in the flesh of his forearm. He yelled in pain and stood quickly to rush to the bathroom. Picking out the nail was the hardest part, and the blood wouldn't stop gushing after he did.
Hoseok's alarmed voice carried into the bathroom. Jimin froze. Why was he there? Did Jisoo ask him to go?
He rushed out of the bathroom to find Hoseok leaving with Jisoo on his back. Was she hurt? Jimin didn't notice because of his arm, which was still dripping with blood.
Now he didn't even feel the wound as he grabbed the black umbrella he brought and followed them. He was surprised that Hoseok could run that fast in the rain with her weight.
He followed all the way to the emergency room, where he tossed his umbrella outside and slowly approached Hoseok, who was staring at someone on a gurney. Jisoo was already being taken away, and once Jimin was close enough, he realized why Hoseok was staring.
Jungkook laid on the padded gurney, clearly unconscious as the doctors rushed him down the hall. Hoseok turned to find Jimin. He stared at him harshly, but said nothing.
All Jimin could do was stare down at the floor. He knew this was all his fault.
