He opened the door for me to walk out and I followed him inside the house. or I can say the big classy house. Every single item in it is luxurious despite its simplicity. I heard him calling Elena with a happy tone. she must be dear to him. Is she his daughter? I shifted the thoughts away and rest myself on the sofa when he disappeared into the kitchen. A few seconds later, a woman in her fifties came out. Her smile went bigger when she saw me. Does she know me? "Elizabeth this is Elena the headmaster of the maids here plus she is my secret keeper "
"It's nice to meet you Elena "I stood up and hug her.
"Why am I feeling like you know me for so long ?"
She looked at Chris with playful gazes then at me. She placed her hand on my cheeks and said" you can say I heard about you a lot But I didn't know you are this pretty " I looked down.
My cheeks went red from shyness. I'm not good at receiving compliments.
"Come On! You must be Hungry, Elena has prepared the food. Sure you are going to love it " He hold my hand and lead me to the kitchen with a worried smile painted on his face. Regardless of the problems and the harsh history between us. Seeing him happy and being with him spread a beautiful feeling inside me. I sat on the chair and start eating. He didn't lie at all about me being hungry. I raised my head from the plate for a while to catch him resting his blue eyes on me. I shook my head questioned.
"Nothing just waiting for you to finish " I place down the fork "aren't you hungry ?" I asked, "No I just had my dinner. I was in the restaurant before you called me ".
"Were you in an important meeting? Did I make you miss something?" I inquired bewildered.
"No, It was just a date, don't worry. Even if it was a meeting I would still catch up on you anyway" He uttered with a calm tone. JUST A DATE.
"You were with Haley didn't you?"I won't lie jealousy was killing me inside. He nodded.
"I see that you know her name! She wasn't pleased when I left her there. I think she has a lot to say about this " I liked that he left her for me but at the same time it was awful for her.
"Miss, your bed is ready. I put some clothes for you on it " I nodded.
"Come on let me show you the guest's room. It's upstairs"
"Let me carry my plate first "
"Just leave them. the maid will take care of it " He took my hand again and guide me upstairs. Omg! That beautiful feeling. It makes me don't want to let his hand ever. We entered a big room with a large bed. I can't believe how tired I am. I placed my jacket and purse on the bed. Then sit to remove my heels. As I look up. Chris was staring at me deeply, His hands in his pockets. The air left my body as I was focusing on his eyes. How can I Forget this sweet creature? He is so Handsome and pure. This creature was mine but I lost him for some stupid gestures But right now being with him is all that matters.
"You good," He asked quietly.
"Yeah, Every...Everything is fine. Thank you " I replied with a small smile.
"Well, I think I should let you rest. Goodnight " He said before leaving the room. " goodnight" I murmured. I took a warm shower. And wear the PJs on the bed. They are so comfy and exactly my size. I loved them. If Chris and I were still together we would be married by now. Just the thought of It makes me smile. We would make a perfect family. I slept at the thought of him.
"Elizabeth, Elizabeth" I heard someone screaming my name and he seems so far away. I woke up frightened "What! What's there " I shouted. I Turn to my left side to glance at Chris sitting next to me wearing his suit.
"Err what I'm sorry .. ER What are you doing here ?" he smiled widely at me . "it's midday Eliz I thought you had enough sleep. I didn't want to wake you up earlier. I just come back from work for lunch break " it took me so long to register what he was saying. work! Lunch break.
"Omg! I Miss work and I have so many things to do. Where is my suit ?" I saw it on the sofa and picked it up "right my blouse " Before I could look for it Chris stood in front of me. Taking the suit from my hand "I'm your boss remember. I'm here, what are you frightened from? I'm giving you a day off. Is there a problem with it ?"
Who's this man? Like just yesterday he kicked me out of his office. I shook my head looking intensely at him and then he started laughing.
"it's always amusing to see you confused. "
