I changed the pov of the story. It is now in Luna's pov. There might be parts when it is a different person but it will mostly be in Luna's pov.

BEEP. BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.
"UGH." I said as I stopped my alarm clock and sitting up in bed. Today, I will do my best and try my hardest but not push my horse Rocky. I got out of bed and put on a old sweatshirt and some jeans and put up my blonde hair into a sloppy ponytail. "Well it's 5:30 in the morning and I am nervous as ever." I said looking at myself in my full length mirror on her door. I walked downstairs and ate my 'so-called' breakfast. An apple and a bowl of cereal.
When I was finished mom walked in the kitchen. "Ready to go?" With a nod I stood up and grabbed my bag and took it to the car. Luckily the horse trailer was hooked up to it so all I had to do was get my horse. I walked into the stable and headed over to the tack room, and got Rocky's tack and grooming box. After putting up the tack and grooming box, I went back to get Rocky. "Hey girl. Ready to go?" Rocky gave a happy neigh and I giggled. "Come on girl." When I saw the trailer I saw my mom waiting to help me load up Rocky.
"Alrighty then. So do you have the saddle, bridle, grooming box, your competition clothes and you obviously have Rocky."My mom said looking at me waiting for my answers. "Yes, yes, yes, and yes." I made a check mark in the air on the last 'yes'. "Okay let's get going." With that we started to head towards Dallas. When I saw the horse show sign my nerves just hit me big time.
"Mom. I'm nervous." "It's okay sweetie. You'll be fine." "Thanks, mom." When we reached the ranch and mom stopped the car and I didn't get out of the car. Mom got out of the car and got Rocky out of the trailer and walked her to the stall in the barn reserved just for Rocky. When Rocky and mom disappeared into the barn I took long deep breaths and then got out. I started towards the barn. Wow. That was all I can come up with for the sight of the barn. I walked into the dark oak barn with white paint at the edges of the doors. Inside were row after row of stalls, riders and grooming boxes. I paid attention to all of the different riders and their horses.
When I reached the section that was reserved it was less busy and quiet like the barn back at home. Mom came out of a stall two down from the stall I was next to. "Okay, Rocky is settled. I'll let you use your special touch or talk to her okay?" I gave my mom a slight nod, and walked over to the stall containing Rocky. A neon blue paper had her show name; Mose. "Mose." I whispered reading the name out loud, and Mose put her head out of the stall to look at me. We stayed like that until my mom came up to us.
"Hey darling I checked you in for your show jumping event. You start in 5 minutes, and your up after Lacy." "Thanks mom. Oh, what place is that?" "Your up 5th. I'll let you tack Mose up now. See you in the ring." "See you in the ring. Alright Mose. Let's get started." I groomed and tacked up Mose and headed to the ring. I looked around and saw my mom in the front rows of the bleachers. I'm glad that my mom understands me because she knows what this is like. I can't believe, wait I can believe my mom competed like me when she was younger. I can't believe that she stopped riding when she got pregnant with me. But she is the reason why I ride and I am a as good rider as I am now. I saw the girl Lacy come out of the ring and then the announcer's loud voice boomed over the ring.
"Next up is number 54 from Silver Oak Stables. Luna Everwood on her horse Mose." "Okay girl let's go." I squeezed my legs and Mose walked into the jumping ring. I walked Mose to where the judges sat and saluted. When the judges gave me a nod I eased Mose into a trot. I decided to take Mose into a circle and then eased her into a canter. We flew over the first 13 jumps. We were coming up to the last jump. "Okay girl last one." I said and lifted out of the saddle and Mose raised off the ground and glided over the jump to the other side. "A clean round for Luna Everdeen." the announcer said. I patted Mose's neck and dismounted.
I walked Mose to the stables. I untacked and cleaned her and then put her into her stall. I made sure that she had food and water. "See you for the awards girl." I said and kissed Mose's nose and walked to go find my mom. I walked out of the stables and headed through the horse trailers and riders with their horses getting ready to go in the ring. I spotted my mom and waved her over. She nodded and started towards me. Then like everything slowed down to slow motion a girl yelled "WATCH OUT!" as her hose was charging straight towards my mom. I yelled "MOM LOOK OUT!" and ran towards her but as soon as my mom saw the horse it was too late. The horse had ran right into her.I managed to stop the horse and calmed it down. I walked the horse to its owner, and that's when I snapped. "PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR DAMN HORSE NEXT TIME!" I made sure that she had a good grip on the reins and ran to my mom's crumpled body on the ground.
