Hoseok had always known that the motives of his new friend and accomplice surpassed the spectrum of good and evil but after the setup with taehyung which had resulted in them finally setting things right and acknowledging theirs mutual
attraction for each other he was once again faced with more questions regarding jimin's intentions here in the family's manor library, a place he rarely visited and that still gave him the creeps even after so many years.

He looked up from his phone, his cheeks tinted pink after reading a candid text message from Taehyung
to stare at jimin. The omega was sitting across from him in a brown
leather padded chair, a huge book opened before him. he seemed focused.

Fire crackled in the old fireplace that stood ominously in the middle of the room, warming up  the perpetually cold room surrounded by shelving of books and white colonnes. A persian rug covered the glossy black marble floor and a mini bar occupied the left corner of the room with small neonlights casting an ambers glow
on sealed bottles of whisky and crystal glasses.

"I have always meant to ask but why are you helping me, jimin?" He asked , his voice cutting the silence that surrounded them. The omega stilled, his head tilting up and his piercing gaze meeting hoseok's soft inquiry eyes. jimin leaned back against
his chair, arms crossed over his chest as he mulled over the question.

"Honestly I don't know." he settled for after a moment. " he cocked his head to the left slightly. "At first I was just going to use you then discard you but then I changed my mind." He confessed without guilt. The alpha's eyes widened a bit at the boldness but he ended up nodding.

"What made you change your mind then?" he pried, too curious to stop himself. Jimin smirked, leaning forward his eyes gleaming. Hoseok knew well that there's no point dwelling on the past and he should just be thankful the latter didnt go with his original plan.

His train of thought was interrupted by the omega.

"Why so curious now?" The alpha let out a little sigh.

"I don't know." He replied, shrugging his shoulders.

Jimn then got to his feet and walking to the min bar, let out while he grabbed a sealed bottle of whisky that he uncorked unceremoniously and poured two fingers in a glass before turning around to face his friend.

"Because it would've been useless. It was in my best interest to have you on my side. You are as much his victim as anyone else. You deserve your reckoning." He brought the glass to his lips, tasting the amber liquid his eyes still staring over the rim. He hummed, pleased. "But don't be confused i'm not your saviour. I am merely the one who is going to kill your father and ruin your clan." He set a glass before hoseok before sitting back down.

"No need to thank me." He finished going back to read the book set before him as thought nothing had happened.

Silence stretched out between them only accentuated by the sound of coals crackling in the fireplace. Outside, day and night had switched place. The alpha once again glanced down at his almost human boyfriend's last string of message, the very last one being a silly cat meme and he smiled.

Jimin might not think that he was his saviour but he sure as hell felt like one to him. After all it was thank to him that he and his mother could once again hope for a better future one in which his deadbeat of a father would have no place.

He stood up, shoving his hands deep in his pockets.

"Not a philantropist then, got it."

"Unfortunately Law forbid that a pack leader attack, maim or kill another one." he dropped, fingers steepled under his face as he caught the alpha's gaze.

Hoseok frowned, a cheshire like smile tugged at the corners of jimin's lips, a dark glow dancing in the two bottomless pits that were his eyes. It sent a wave of unpleasant shivers down hoseok's spine.

"Luckily for us your father has been a bad wolf. he lost half his assets in terrible *placement and tried to salvage things by selling off some of his shares. I bought them via someone else. So now all we have to do is get married, that way I can acquire the rest and kill him."

"W-what?" Hoseok blurted, eyebrows flying over his head from shock.

"What do you mean get married?" he asked, panicking a bit.

jimin gave him an annoyed look from his seat, his expression darkening as he unsteepled his fingers and leaned back, running a hand through his hair.

"If we want to ruin him it have to be from the inside. Plus he wants you
to mate me, that's why he practically threw you at me months ago." he added, hoseok struggled but heaved out a deep sigh as he acknowledged that was in fact his father's plan.

"But..." he trailed, sad as he glanced down at his phone.

"Don't worry, its all fake. Well just get a divorce after I cut his head off and your mother and you will be free of him and the jung."

Hoseok glanced back up, he locked eyes with the omega who smiled
widely at him. Suddenly he felt like he's about to suffocate. He undid a button of his shirt.

"Fine."

jimin clapped his hands together.

Hyewon let out her first yelp on a moonless night to the delight of
her parents. Outside, snow had covered everything and it's freezing.

Seokjin who had spent the past fourteen hours in delivery looked tired, drenched in sweat he lay in bed his mate by his side. Ahn heeyeon brought the baby, cleaned up and dressed to them, a warm smile on her lip. she handed seokjin his babygirl.

"She looks perfect." he let out, in wonderment.

"Yes she is." retorted yoongi, dazed as his daughter's small finger touched his. he blinked and things rare let out a chuckle.

The young alpha had prefered to stay as far as possible from the cabin while his brother gave birth. He found himself back at the waterfalls. It's freezing and the surface had turned to ice that glistened under the moonlight.

His mind was full with thoughts about jimin. He missed the omega more than ever and even thought of going back to seoul in hope to see him again. Sohee, the pack leader was also a  pain in the ass. she was relentless in her chase, following him around. She had found out about jimin and had began to drop thinly veiled threat to him and no matter what the young alpha told her, she would just brushed it off. it made his somethin under his skin crawl. He had no doubt that jimin despite being an omega could wipe the floor with her ass anytime but it was still unsettling how she seemed set on him when he did nothing to encourage her.

Obsession. He shivered but not from the cold and started stalk back to the cabin.
