Two days had passed since...

The day was gone. It had been two days since Kajal was smitten hard with a burden of DLROG's new experiment. But they were nowhere to be seen or heard. Kajal wished not to see them again.

She was fuming with rage since Paddy walked into her life like she owed Kajal.

Who the hell is she, huh?

Right, who the hell she is. Yes, she saved Kajal's life and rescued her from the clasp of true death. She was there when Kajal lost her family. She comforted her in a way that nobody could. If it was not for her, Kajal would've been...

But, it was abnormal how she always threatened Kajal to take her life. She almost murdered her when Kajal once misbehaved. Kajal feared Paddy. Paddy is an undeniable villain character in her story who took mercy on her once and for all.

The thoughts were wrestling inside her mind. She felt they were going to burst any moment spilling her already dead brain hither and thither. So Kajal got up to make a beeline to the terrace. Her stomach growled with hunger.

It was still felt weird that she could hear or see what was going on thousands of miles far. The sky was a rainbow of glowing stars, reflecting through her shining pupils. She stood there wishing all the reality went away like sand.

Her eyes were taking in all of the galaxy. She could hear the sound of a old man snoring ten houses behind, a child was reading a comic book under a thick layer of blankets two streets ahead, a woman was singing lullaby to her baby in her neighborhood, a drunkard was composing tuneless noise with empty beer bottles in a locality nearby: all these were a hint that she was more than human, close to god. But the moment she tried to enjoy her silly thoughts, she caught a sound of someone stepping into her garden.

Kajal knew who he was. He was again a spy of DLORG. They were spying her since that night. It was creepy. They were like spooky stalkers.  Kajal was embarassed to even step outside her house and hunt food. She was never fond of killing people but right now it was the Queen's order to suck the life out of men and spare the women.

Nowadays, women were the main weapon of the queens and kings around the world. Kajal wondered why.

But if the Queen of this territory got to know that these humans were producing vgampires it would be an end to the human race. And secondly, if She came to know that Kajal, one of her four thousand subjects was involved with this, it would certainly mean true death of her. Well, if Kajal denied the agreement to Paddy, she would've been died by now. So there were crocodiles on both sides. She had to choose one. Her dislike towards Paddy is less than her hatred towards the Queen.

The sound became faint; perhaps the spy wandered about, far away from her house. Kajal needed her precious loneliness back. She enjoyed her alone times. And why not? If you wished to live your life fully, you should learn to live with yourself alone. Sam once said it to her.

Kajal missed Sam, his smiles, his eyes, his fangs. She missed all of him. Sam was supposed to meet with her tonight, but he was nowhere to be seen nor he was receiving calls from her. Kajal wondered if vampires were fickle like humans. Then she remembered vampires were supposed to be heartless, soulless and unloveable. But not all of them proved to be that. She felt it when she met Sam at the party, wearing a charming smile. It was a night of good bonding, huh?

Whispering a goodnight to the night sky, she turned around, ready to trail down into her bedroom.

When she was at the middle of the stairs, climbing down lazily. She heard the curtains moving, and a whoosh. She accelerated her speed to full and reached her bedroom. There was no one there. She sped to the kitchen, not a soul was there too. So she ran to the basement and found no one. Finally, she decided to check the living room.
