Chapter eight: Bestial fury

"Find something to cover that thing up!" Asura ordered, "And get that damn priest over here NOW!" Scouts and Military Police were moving around, being given orders by Asura as they did. (Damn it, a 60 meter Titan Shifter was bad enough. But now we know the Walls are literally created by 50 meter titans! Those Wall worshippers have some serious explaining to do.) He thought, "Vice Captain Asura!" A MP officer shouted, "What is it?" Asura asked, "The priest is refusing to leave his home. What do we do?" Asura turned to face him. "Beat down his door. Persuade him, arrest him, I DON'T CARE! Just fucking get him here!" Asura ordered, the officer nodded and went back to the priest's home. "Asura, you okay?" Mikasa asked, Asura rubbed his temples. "Frustrated, and stressed beyond belief." He replied, "The head of this...titan worshipping cult, better be straight with me, because if he's not...well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there." Mikasa nodded. "How's Eren?" Asura asked, "He's asleep now." Mikasa answered, "I'm not surprised, this was his second transformation. Can't say I'm faring any better, that was my speed form." Asura said, "I trade defence for strength and speed. So it leaves me more susceptible to damage. Which is why I don't change into that form often, it's draining as well as risky." Mikasa nodded, and was about to ask him something, when she heard struggling behind them. "Look who decided to show up? You've got some explaining to do minister." Asura said, Nick looked nervous. "Take the irons off, we won't need 'em." The two officers uncuffed the minister and left him with Asura and Mikasa. "No more secrets, the cat's out of the bag now, Nick. Now, how you answer my questions will affect what I do with you, so don't. Bullshit. Me." Nick then answered. "All of us agreed that the public couldn't know about this. It was for their own protection." He said, "You knew...you knew this and you told no one!" Mikasa sneered, she then grabbed his throat and began strangling him. "Ackerman!" Asura yelled, "Release him." Mikasa reluctantly obeyed and Nick fell to his knees gasping for air. "He kept the truth from us Asura." She said, "I know Mikasa. But he's not worth the effort to kill." Asura replied, "You had to know people were going to find out sooner or later." Nick nodded. "We did. But we hoped it'd be later rather than sooner." He confessed, "Listen minister, I swore that I wouldn't kill humans. But you and your church have done nothing but push me to break that oath. Now, Vice Commander Hanji wants a word with you. Get him out of here." Asura ordered, after he was gone, Asura let out a frustrated shout. "Damn these Walls! Damn that man! And damn his church!" He ranted in anger, after some time, Asura had calmed down and made his way to Eren's room in the infirmary. Eren was awake, but was still under the weather. "Still running a fever, Eren?" He asked, Eren nodded. "It'll pass, can you walk?" Eren then stood up. "Yeah." He replied, Asura smirked, "Alright. Gear up, we're moving out."

-A few hours later, outside Wall Sina-

Asura, Mikasa, Eren and Armin were heading to a village that had gone silent. Mikasa rode up beside Asura to talk with him. "What's on your mind?" She asked when she saw the look on his face, "Just wondering how a whole village just goes silent. I'm a little worried." He admitted, after a long pregnant silence, Asura stopped. "Hold on...damn it, we're too late." He said through clenched teeth, the group looked at the village, and saw collapsed buildings everywhere. Asura and his group searched the place for any clues as to what happened. "We've been getting reports that titans have been appearing out of nowhere. Hand me that arm there, don't ask just do it." Asura stated before any of the group could, once Asura was given the arm, he took started sniffing it. "Uh, what's he doing?" Connie asked Armin, "Trying to get a scent, and to probably find out who did this." Mikasa answered, Asura's expression changed from neutral to alert. "We're not alone." He said, "Asura, you have something?" Eren asked, Asura turned to his comrades. "I know who's responsible for this." As soon as he said that, thousands of titans suddenly appeared. "MOVE!" Asura shouted, the group did so and scattered as the titan hoard headed for them. "Look for the Alpha, he's controlling these things!" Asura shouted, he then dodged a swipe from a titan before slicing it's nape off. Asura then spotted something he hoped he wouldn't see again. A 17 meter titan covered head-to-toe with fur. "So, you finally appear." He whispered, "Beast titan." Asura then swung around and headed for his group. "A Titan Shifter is in play! It's the Beast titan!" He shouted, "Fall back! I'll cover you!" They all nodded and mounted their horses just as Asura got hit by a titan's hand. It was about to eat him, until. "NO! He lives." The Beast titan said, the titan nodded and put Asura down. Asura's eyes were moving while they were closed, his subconscious was being flooded with visions. (What is this? What are these images I'm seeing!?) He thought, he heard bloodcurtling screams, cries for help, and people begging for mercy. Asura himself screamed in anguish. Then he heard a voice. "Please...protect the humans...my son." "Mom..." Asura's eyes shot open as he glared daggers at the Beast titan. "I...remember now." He said, "You bastard, I'll kill you!" With that he transformed into his titan form. "Zeke! Prepare yourself!" The Metal titan roared, he then created a sword from his skin and drew it. Zeke looked disappointed and growled angrily. "You have no idea how much you've interfered with my plans!" He shouted, Asura held his steely gaze at Zeke, not even remotely intimidated by his father's words. "Oh, I'm aware. But, I promised mom that I'd protect humanity, and I will uphold that promise!"
