Chapter eleven: Remembrance and Revealations

Asura was the first to enter the dining hall. After him, Erwin, Levi, Hanji, Eren, Armin, and Mikasa followed. After checking to see if they had been followed, Asura closed the doors. The seven then sat down. "Alright, before we start, what I'm about to say stays between everyone in this room. Understood?" He asked, everyone nodded. Asura then took a breath. "Okay. So, let's not beat around the bush and jump straight to the point. When I stayed behind to give my friends time to escape, I...got my memory back. If you can call getting freaking swatted a memory jog." The others looked surprised. "So, what do you remember?" Erwin asked, "Everything. My role in my father's plans, the decline of the titans, my mother's death...even the identities of the Collosal and Armored titans." Asura answered, "Your role?" Levi asked, Asura nodded. "Yes. Originally I was supposed to destroy the Walls. But, as you know that...never worked out. My father and I don't really get along." He replied, "Ugh...saying that out loud makes it sound so...common. Little boy doesn't get along with his father. Heard and read that story a hundred times. But, I'm getting sidetracked. The identities of the Colossal and Armored titans are..."

-Reiner and Bertoldt's quarters-

Reiner was pacing back and forth, losing Annie was bad enough, the thought that Asura had regained his memories was an even worse thought. "Reiner, pacing around isn't going to help our situation any. Besides, we don't know if he has his memory back anyway." Bertoldt said, Reiner stopped and turned to look at Bertoldt. "You didn't see the look he had in his eyes, Bertoldt! Trust me, he remembers." Reiner replied through gritted teeth, "Well, if he does, maybe he can be convinced to join us again. No offense, but he was the strongest out of all of us, as well as the smartest." Bertoldt suggested, Reiner shook his head. "Yeah, he was the strongest and smartest of us. But you weren't there Bertoldt. It took everything Zeke and I had to take him down, but even our combined strength wasn't enough to kill him. We were lucky, and he made it clear he wasn't rejoining us. We need to strike first, before things get any worse." Reiner said with finality,

-The dining hall-

"What!? Their the Collosal and Armored titans!?" Eren exclaimed, Asura nodded, "Yes. Reiner Braun and Bertoldt Hoover are the Colossal and Armored titans. They're responsible for the Fall of Wall Maria. However, they'll make their move soon. Out of all of us, Reiner's the most reckless. He's disciplined and next to Bertoldt he's the fourth strongest, but his recklessness makes him predictable." Asura stated, "I suspect they'll make their move tomorrow. So, that gives us some time to come up with a plan. But we'll get to that later. For now, get some rest. Must've been hard defending this place." Everyone nodded a silent agreement before heading to their respective quarters.

-Outside the fortress, 9:20 pm, stables-

Asura was feeding the horses before he headed to get some sleep. When he got to Mirrah, she nuzzled him. "Hey, girl. You hungry?" He asked, Mirrah snorted her reply as Asura filled her trough. He then heard footsteps behind him. Turning around he saw Mikasa. "Can't sleep?" He asked, "Not really." She replied, she saw Asura stroking Mirrah's mane as she ate. "I was always good with animals. Guess that's why Mirrah allows me to ride her." Asura said, "The last of her breed, and she's a very good companion. But I'm rambling, so what's on your mind?" Mikasa sighed. "Eren and I could never keep anything secret from you." She said smiling, "A perk from having Ymir as my twin sister. She's not exactly vocal with what's bothering her. So, what's up?" Mikasa sighed. "Back in Stohess, you said that you cared about me. Do you...remember that?" She asked, (I had no choice, Annie. You hurt someone very dear to me.) Asura closed his eyes and sighed. "I do remember that. And I meant it. I'll admit I've...grown to like you. And more than just as a friend. You mean a lot to me Mikasa, And...I love you." He said, Mikasa smiled and grabbed Asura's hand. "I love you too..." She said, Asura smiled and the two started leaning closer towards each other, before their lips met in a kiss. After a few minutes the two parted and smiled. "Well, guess we're official now." Asura said, Mikasa chuckled. "I guess so." She replied, with that the two went inside to get some rest.
