No One's P.O.V
A couple of weeks had gone by, and Lance was steadily feeling more and more guilty.
There was more hurtful things said to Lance from other people. Soon, people started harassing his group of friends, so he sat alone in the bathrooms.
This worried them, and they could never find him because he switched the bathrooms he went to everyday.
Him and Keith still hung out, and Keith appreciated this.
Lance's P.O.V
I hated being a nuisance to people. Everyone was getting bullied because of me, so I didn't let others see them with me.
It was after school and I was heading home, alone. Keith got detention for defending me.
Set him free.
I pulled out my phone and texted him:
Lance: Hey Babe, I'm sorry for bothering you everyday. I promise I won't do it anymore. I love you so much and I want to thank you for letting me love you. I'm with the butterflies now.
Keith: Lance! What do you mean 'you're with the butterflies.'
Pick up your damn phone!
I watched as my phone vibrated for the fifth time before I shut it off. I climbed to the top of the school.
End this where it started, Lance.
I stood up on the rail, tears falling from my face. I heard footsteps pounding up behind me.
Keith's P.O.V
I got that weird text, and ran straight out of detention. I headed to the top of the high school, where I saw Lance.
"Lance! Get down, you'll fall!" I said, my voice strained with tension and worry,
For the first time in years, I felt tears prick at my eyes. I wanted to pull him off of there, but I was frozen in fear of him jumping.
Like a scared dog, if I got close he'll jump.
He turned around, his beautiful eyes glistening with tears and clouded with pain and sorrow. The tear tracks underneath spoke words he had never been able to speak.
Lance's P.O.V
I looked at Keith, and memories came flooding through my mind, like a long needed rain in a flower field.
I lay there in my bed, tears spilling out of my eyes. I hurt so many people every day. I made them suffer for my own selfish desires.
You had walked in my room, seeing me crying. You rushed over and held me close, whispering sweet nothings into my ear.
I looked up into those eyes I loved so much, but instead of seeing the fierce purple, I only saw pity.
That's what I was. A pity party.
But not anymore. Now, it's my time to become beautiful and remind people that the world is ugly.
To fly and let people see a beauty that they will have one day.
Keith's P.O.V
"Butterflies can fly, right?" He asked.
He gave me a sad smile.
I ran towards him but I wasn't fast enough.
I watched as his body fell backwards, disappearing from my sight, falling towards the ground.
I screamed his name, hoping that it could reverse time.
But it didn't.
