I was born in an average family, my father was a farmer and my mother was a baker. I was seven when the first attack began. They burned the village, my village... Multiple innocent people died including my parents.

I was lucky enough to be saved by a generous and kind lady. She took me to her house far into the forest where no one was able to track her. Her name is Lady Anabel. She worked in the castle as a maid before but she quit after she heard about the attack that will happen to our kingdom. She rescued me and some other girls from the fire. She wished that she could save more people but five young girls were all that she could find...

My name is Adalinne. Lady Anabel, whom I call Aunt Ana, raised the five of us in her cosy cottage. She trained us to become stronger and wiser so that we can protect ourselves. She learned fighting skills during her work in the castle. She used to observe the knights training while she swept the floor nearby.

Several years past, the attacks kept increasing day by day. We were forced to hide in the cottage. Aunt Ana always forbid us from interfering with the fight because we were not ready yet. But I couldn't wait and hide while people are dying in the battlefield.

So I trained harder, with a bow and arrows, I practiced day and night with the other girls.

"Hey, Adal!! Stop daydreaming and come practice with us!!" a girl with short light blue hair waved her hands at me; It was Elianor, my best friend.

"I'm coming!!" I replied while running towards her. As I reached nearby, she spun her sword around as fast as lightning and the trees around her were all cut down into half.

"Stop cutting the trees would you?" I told her.

"Come on, wasn't that awesome!? I'll plant a new one later, nature's princess!" obviously she's refering to me. I may be tough on the outside, but I really love and care for nature like Aunt Ana does.

I gave her a smile and walked to a tall girl, named Tiffany. She is currently training with Aunt Ana. She used a long pole to fight her. Well.. I think that it's a pole.

"Hey, Tiffany! Is that a pole?" I asked.

"It's called a Halberd, Adal!" Tiffany corrected me.

So, her halberd looks like a long pole with sharp axe-like blades at the top of it. It might appear as a light weapon, but it is really heavy. I can barely lift it up while Tiffany spun it around so swiftly. She is the oldest and strongest among the five of us. As the oldest, she is our leader when Aunt Ana is not around.

As I saw how busy they were, I continued walking to another girl, Roselle. She is 15 years old which made her the youngest and... The weirdest? First of all, it's because she is immune to any kind of poison. Secondly, she likes to eat poison. But she is really kind and quite shy. As I walked nearer, she gave me a smile and continued on her training. She was practicing on needle throwing. The needles were dipped in very dangerous poison(which doesn't affect her).

The needles she threw hits perfectly on the centre of the board. The poison from the needle started to spread, causing the board to rot. As awesome and precise the throw was, I'm not likely fond on being near her when she throws the needle because one drop of the poison might immobilise me. I'm not taking the chances so I went to talk to a girl sitting near the shed; Susanna.

She creates weapons and plans for us. She's really smart but is quite weak. However, Aunt Ana still trains her to use small knives so that she could defend herself. She was working on my new bow.

"Su, is the bow done yet? I can't wait to use it!" I asked her. "Just a little ruby here and... Done!" she said as she gave the bow to me. It is in shining gold-like colour with six small rubies on it. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go and try it!" Susanna said excitingly.
