We followed Jack into a large room. There's a long rectangle table in the middle of the room with tall chairs. I assumed that this is where they held meetings or political discussions.
"Adal? Why are your friends here?" Niel whispered.
"They overheard us talking about the witch and wouldn't let me go without them." I explained.
"Adalinne, are you sure that the witch gave you a message? I don't want to believe some stupid girly dream that is not real." Sir Raymond asked seriously.
"I'm sure, the lady looks similar to the witch. I have been having the same dream since the day I left home." I replied.
"I guess we have no choice but to investigate it ourselves. Your highness, you must stay here with the royal knights. It's too dangerous for you to follow us." Sir Raymond told Niel.
"You're not going without me. My father told me to search for the witch. As the new king, it is my duty to find the witch. Sir Raymond, I'll leave the kingdom's safety in your hands till I come back." Niel exclaimed.
"Very well, your highness. At least allow my top knights to accompany you." Sir Raymond sighed.
"I already have five top knights accompanying me." Niel said as he looked at the five of us.
"These girls may be our strongest so far, but they have no experience in the real battlefield. The people they've defeated had never intended to kill them. But the enemies' main goal is to kill anyone in their way. The enemies might be hiding in the forest. It's far too risky." Sir Raymond protested.
"Then let me follow them. I have experience and I have aced all of my trainings." Jack volunteered.
"I guess there's nothing that will stop you stubborn kids, huh? I wish you the best of luck then. Jacob, I entrusted you as the leader. Remember, your main goal is to save the witch and protect the Prince from any danger. Understood?" Sir Raymond asked.
"Sir Raymond, with all due respect, I am the leader of my team and I shall not receive orders from this guy." Tiffany exclaimed while she stared at Jack.
"And with all due respect, you have no right to question me. He is YOUR leader wether you like it or not! Now, are we clear?" Sir Raymond asked again with a strict voice.
"Yes, sir!" we replied together. Tiffany seemed to be angry and frustrated. But she nodded reluctantly.
"Okay, first things first, we need to find the possible routes which is not dangerous." Sir Raymond opened his map and examined the forest's area.
"And... There's none... All of them are dangerous. Since we do not know the exact location, we have no choice but to search the whole forest. My knights had been scouting the area and they had never found an abandoned cottage before. So, I'll give you three days to search for the witch. If you failed to do so, I expect all of you to return back before noon." Sir Raymond ordered.
"Okay, got it!" Jack said as he walked towards the door. "I'm hungry, anyone up for breakfast? We don't want to have an empty stomach on our first trip!" Jack chuckled.
"This is not a trip Jack! Our lives depend on this mission. And for you Adalinne..." Sir Raymond sighed and turned to me. "Please don't do anything stupid. If you didn't find the witch, I'll consider the urgent message of yours is nothing but a dream.." Sir Raymond muttered.
His scary glare made me gulped in fear and nodded hesitantly. I looked behind me and realised that the others had rushed out of the room after Jacob mentioned 'breakfast'. Just the thought of it made my stomach rumble.
