The next morning, I woke up to the smell of warm toast and sausages. I walked downstairs and saw everyone chatting in the dining room. I was the last one to wake up.
"Good morning, Adal!" Elianor waved at me while she gobbled up her toast. Elianor has a huge appetite despite her small size.
"Late as usual, Adal. You should practice on waking up early because the royal knights would usually train somewhere around four in the morning." Tiffany stated as she spread some butter on her toast.
"She's right, Adal. You should learn to be more disciplined." Aunt Ana agreed with Tiffany.
"Sorry, Aunt Ana." I apologised as I sat on the empty chair next to Elianor.
Aunt Ana gave me a plate containing one toast and two sausages. I prefer having my toast spread with strawberry jam. As we continued eating our breakfast, Aunt Ana finished hers first and went to wash her plate.
"So, as a preparation, I have something special for your training today." Aunt Ana stated as she dries her hands with a small towel.
"Special? What is it?" Susanna asked.
"You'll know it once you've finished your breakfast. Don't forget to wash the plates before you start your training! In the meanwhile, I'll wait outside and prepare for it." Aunt Ana said and went out of the cottage.
Excited for our training, the five of us immediately finished our breakfast and washed the plates as told. We changed into our simple training uniform, which is a normal shirt and sweatpants. I know, it looks ugly. But at least it's comfortable.
We walked out of the cottage and went to a nearby field where we would usually train. The field is quite large and it has an even ground without any obstacles like rocks and trees. It is easier for us to train there.
"So, what's the special training?" Susanna asked.
"Although you girls have learned a lot from me, none of you had actually reached my level and none of you had actually tried to defeat me." Aunt Ana smirked and continued, "So, as a special training, I want all five of you to defeat me without using any weapon."
"What!!? Aunt Ana!! We can't fight you!" Tiffany said.
"If you can't fight me, how can you fight in the real war? Don't worry, you don't need to actually make me unconscious. All you have to do is to take this ribbon from me. No more questions. The training will begin whenever you're ready." Aunt Ana stated as she showed us a short pink ribbon.
I highly doubt that Aunt Ana was just a maid. How can she be this strong if she had only watched the knights trained.
The five of us nodded and positioned ourselves in a fighting stance. Aunt Ana was just standing there and smiled at us.
Tiffany ran towards Aunt Ana and started to fight her. Every move Tiffany made was blocked effortlessly by Aunt Ana. Elianor joined the fight after Tiffany fell down. She used her legs to tackle Aunt Ana. However, Aunt Ana maintained her position. Instead, Elianor lost her balance and fell right next to Tiffany.
Roselle quickly attacked Aunt Ana. She managed to hold Aunt Ana's hand but Aunt Ana pulled her hand forward, causing Roselle to fall down.
As Aunt Ana was busy fighting the three of them, Susanna told me to wait for awhile. She was reading her notebook and tried to search for something.
"What are you doing? We should help them!" I stated.
Susanna didn't reply. She kept flipping through the pages until she stopped on one.
