"Adal!! Adal!!" Elianor called my name while crying. I finally regained my consciousness and tried to sit up.
My head was bleeding and my hands were tied with a rope and so does the other girls' hands. I looked up and saw an old, big man sitting on a large chair.
I gasped in astonishment as I realised that it was King Lais, sitting on the throne...
Apparently, we are in the throne room. It's quite big and scary. I saw two flower vases on my left and a large golden picture frame hanged on the wall between them. Pictures of the king, the queen and a baby boy; presumably the Prince.
"There! That red-haired girl was a beast!! She should be punished!!!" Sir Raymond informed the king of my reckless actions.
It's all my fault... I couldn't control my bloodlust.
"How dare you attempted to murder the leader of the Royal Knights!!?" the king scolded me with a loud and scary voice which echoed throughout the room.
"I-I apologise...". I stuttered.
"You shall be sent to the dungeons!! All of you!! You're lucky enough to not be sent to your deaths!" the king gave us our punishment with a serious voice. He coughed non-stop and tried to catch his breath.
"What's going on here father?" a boy entered the room. "Niel, my son! These girls are a disgrace to our kingdom! They attempted to murder Sir Raymond. Especially the red-haired girl." the king insulted us non-stop. I couldn't even look into their eyes so I looked down the whole time... Trying to hold my tears...
"Father, don't send them to the dungeon!! They were the ones who have saved my life yesterday. If they weren't there, I wouldn't have survived..." the prince stated.
We saved his life? I slowly looked up to see his face and our eyes met.
Shoot!! He was that boy we saved yesterday! He is Prince Niel!!?
"Saved your life? What happened yesterday!?" the king asked his son.
"I tried fighting the orcs to get stronger but I wasn't able to fight them... That red-haired girl stood in front of the orcs bravely and defeated all of them along with the other girls. She tried hard to be a royal knight. When Sir Raymond turned them down, she might have lost all her hope and attacked him. She should be a royal knight! All of them should!!" the prince told his father.
"How can you be king one day if you need this weak girls to save you?" the King sighed.
"I beg you father! These girls should have a place in the royal knights. I saw their fighting skills and it is better than any of the royal knights." the prince kept begging his father.
"You are my only son... If these girls had risked their lives to save you without knowing who you really are, then they must be pure-hearted warriors. In return, I shall release you from your sentences! I'll give you a chance to prove your worth as a royal knight! If you cause trouble again, I shall not hesitate to kick you out of my kingdom!" the king warned.
"Father, that's too-" "Thank you, your majesty! We won't cause any trouble again." Tiffany answered, cutting off Prince Niel.
"Very well, Sir Raymond, I'll leave them to you then..." the king seemed pleased with Tiffany's answer.
"Me!? They had almost killed me! I shall not help them!" Sir Raymond whined.
"Are you disobeying my orders!!? If you can't help them, find someone else to help them!" the king replied furiously.
"Y-yes, your majesty!" Sir Raymond bowed and signalled the guards to release us.
The Prince walked to us but his father stopped him. He looked at me with sympathy and I couldn't help but avoid his eye contact the entire time. It's too shameful to have him see me like this. Especially after what I have said to him the other day.
My forehead was covered with blood and I couldn't stand up. "Adal..." Tiffany holds my hand and helped me to stand up. "I warned you, you should've listened to me" she whispered to my ear as we walked behind Sir Raymond.
"If it weren't for the prince, we might've ended up in the dungeon..." Roselle stated.
We walked along an empty and long hallway until we reached a wooden door leading us to a small empty room.
"Now, then! As much as I don't want to see you girls anymore, I have to obey the king's orders. So, you shall stay in this room until I send someone to call you. If you need anything, just ask the maids." Sir Raymond said and left us.
"Are we sleeping on the floor?" Elianor asked. "Sorry El, at least this is better than the dungeon." Tiffany replied.
"We should treat Adal's wound first." Roselle said bringing me inside the room. "I-I'm sorry... I was too reckless, I put you all in danger." I apologised.
"It's okay, Adal! What's important is that we are together and we still have a chance to be a royal knight!" Elianor said cheerfully.
"Now, I guess we should get some sleep." Susanna said. "We could've at least have some pillows." Elianor complained.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Roselle went to open it, revealing a short lady whom appears to be a maid, holding some blankets and pillows.
"Hello, it's nice to finally meet you girls! My name is Melissa. I am Anabel's friend. She told me that you are coming here and asked me to take care of you. It's not much, but it's all I've managed to take for you girls." the lady introduced herself.
She must be Aunt Ana's friend when she was a maid here. Or whoever she was before. "Thank you, this is more than enough for tonight." Roselle took the blankets and pillows from the lady.
"You're welcome, call me or any other maids if you girls need anything. Good night." she said and closed the door as she left the room.
I felt dizzy and immediately fell asleep. My head is in so much pain that I couldn't think of anything... But the same dream kept repeating. The vision was a bit blurry but I can still see the lady... However...
