I believe there's a small amount of people in this world who would want to help someone's way of thinking. Well, other than shrinks.
I liked Evan, as crazy as it sounds. He's oddly different. No, I'm not saying that because he's a ghost. He made me feel like I was something special. Like I wasn't such an outcast in this tremendous world, we call earth.
He was also someone who wanted to help me. Not out of pity, but as if he understood what I was going through.
Now, you maybe wondering what the hell happened to me. Well, other than my mother dying, I had a pretty rough time growing up.
My mother dated a man who I thought was a great guy. Turned out, he wasn't so great at all. He abused her. I'd wake up to see him punching or strangling her. I was too young to do anything. That's what I hated.
He was dispiteful and heartless. He really showed his true colors. That night he came into my room, I was confused and afraid. I just wanted to know why would someone do this? Why would someone take advantage of me?
He was cruel. And I wanted to show people that I could be cruel too. So I decided to shut people out and not care about a single thing around me. I told all of this to Evan.
I ran my fingers through my long auburn brown hair and sighed. I was sitting in my room getting ready for my date.
Yes, date.
Nick texted me a two days ago saying, and I quote, "mila, go on a date with me please. if you don't say yes, I will bother for the rest of eternity." So of course I said yes.
When I told Evan, he wasn't to happy. He even hated it when I used Nick's name in a sentence. He looked pleased when I told him that I wish it was him I was going on the date with.
I was wearing light blue ripped skinny jeans, a black tank top, and a black leather jacket. I slipped on my ankle boots and sat there waiting for him to come and pick me up.
Evan was laying down right next to me, twisting my curls in between his fingers.
I smiled at his action. "What time are you coming back?" he asked, admiring my hair.
"At nine." I said, admiring his tattoo on his left arm. It was a rose with a skull in the middle, in black ink.
Before I could think, I grazed my finger across his tattoo, tracing the outlines. When I realised what I did, I looked up at him. To my suprise, he was sitting up and staring back at me. Oh, how I could get lost in those dark pools of brown eyes.
His lips were slightly open and looked plump as ever. He grabbed the side of my cheek and swept his thumb across my bottom lip. It sent chills down my spine. As much as I wanted to look away from his face, I couldn't tear my eyes off of him.
He leaned in pressing his head against mine. I closed my eyes and waited to feel his soft lips connect with mine. His breath smelt of mint and pine trees.
We were inches away from are lips touching, until the doorbell rang.
You have got to be fucking kidding me?
"Your date awaits." I heard Evan say. We were still very close. That's when I felt the sweet burning sensation run through me once again. Evan kissed the corner of my lips.
"I'll be back, Casper." I smirked and kissed his jaw. I got up and grabbed my phone. I walked out of the room and walked down the stairs.
I opened the door to find Nick smiling with his hands in his pocket. He looked at me with his gorgeous smile of his. I took this moment to look at his attire.
He was wearing a white button down flannel, dark blue jeans, and brown boots. l must say, he looked quite sexy.
I cleared my throat and smiled back him. "Hey." he said, giving me crooked grin.
"Hey Nick." I forced smile and opened the door a bit wider. "You ready?" he asked. "Yeah, let me just get something, I'll be right back." I said.
I quickly walked up the stairs and stepped into my room. Evan was laying down with his eyes closed. There was a faint of music playing in the background. His eyes opened and he sat up.
Heh, just how we met...
I smiled and walked up to him. "Mila, I thought you left already." he said raising his eyebrows. I couldn't take it anymore, I kissed him right then and there.
Remembering the feeling he gave me the first time we kissed, it all came back again. I put both of my hands on the side of his cheeks and felt kiss me back.
I pulled away and looked into his tempting eyes. He looked at me with lust and desire. His lips were red and swollen. "I should go." my voice shook.
"Come back soon, yeah?" he looked at me and raised his eyebrows. I nodded eagerly and smiled. I got up and fixed my hair.
I walked out of my room and came downstairs to greet Nick once again. I smiled at him and we walked out of the door.

The car ride was longer than I thought it would be. I didn't mind at all. The city night lights caught my eye. It was beautiful and peaceful to watch. I caught Nick glancing at me a couple of times.
"Why are you staring at me?" I said lifting my eyebrows. He had one hand on the wheel and the other in his lap. "You just look very beautiful tonight." he smiled.
"Thank you, but I rather you keep your eyes on the road." I chuckled and looked back out the window.
"So, tell me about that Eric guy." he said bluntly. "His name is Evan and what do you want to know about him?" I smirked.
"Well for starters, is he your boyfriend?" he asked looking at me. "If he was my boyfriend, I wouldn't be in this car with you right now." I said.
"Mm, right." he responded. "So where are you taking me exactly?" I asked curiously.
"Now that is for me to know and for you to find out." he winked at me, giving me a cheeky smile. I rolled my eyes and rested my head against the seat.
"Let's just say, I'm gonna take on adventure." he said with his crooked grin.
Oh boy...
