At this moment, I was at the fair with Nick. I am actually having a good time so far. I think it's mainly because he keeps loosing at every game.
He said he wanted to buy me a big koala bear but has failed to succeed.
I kept laughing when a little took the dart right out of his hand and aimed it towards the center of the circle. She looked at him and smirked. Nick was astonished and swallowed hard.
I knelt down and patted her on the back.
"Good job, Katniss." I gave her a friendly smile. "Thanks. You know, you're really pretty." she said, watching her left cheek sink in. Dimples, they're so cute.
"Thank you, but not as pretty as you missy." I pinched her cheeks and heard her giggle.
"I have to go back to my big sister, goodbye." she hugged me. I wasn't expecting a hug what so ever. I smiled and hugged her back, feeling her little soft curls between my fingers.
"May the odds be ever in your favor." I said, in a British accent. I winked at her and she saluted. She ran up to what seems to be her older sister. They walked away hand in hand.
"Kiss up." I turned my head to see Nick looking down at me. "Oh shut up, you're just upset she liked me instead of you." I defended. He smiled and shook his head. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and smirked.
"C'mon, lets go get some food." I grabbed his arm and dragged him along.
For the past two hours we've been just talking, laughing, and playing games. Nick wasn't so bad after all. He was the opposite from me. He was filled with so much light and happiness. It was actually very comforting.
We decided to leave so he can take me home. He wrapped his arm around my neck while I held a big bear in my hand.
He opened the passenger door for me and I hopped inside. He came around to the to his side and closed the door. That's when I heard the sound of water tapping the hood of the car. It started to rain

When we arrived in front of my house, he parked the car. We sat there in silence, listening to the soft music of Fix You by Coldplay coming from his radio. I closed my eyes and listened to every word he sang. I took a deep breath and opened my eyes.
At the corner of my eye, I could feel Nick staring at me. I looked straight in front of me, seeing the rain drops crash on to the windshield.
"I can see you staring at me, you know." I said with a soft smile. I turned my head to look back at him and I see a light blush for onto his cheeks. He shook his head lightly and looked down. "Sorry, its just...under all of that feisty and contentment, you seem like you're not living how you want to." he explained.
I took a deep breath and sighed. "Well, it's not as easy as it seems, but people don't need to see me in that way." I told him. I gave him a reassuring smile and took off my seatbelt.
"Thank you for tonight. I must say, I enjoyed myself. Especially the times you lost at games." I chuckled.
"I let you win." he smirks nudges my arm with his elbow. "I'll let you keep thinking that." I grinned.
"Thanks, once again." I ran my fingers through my hair and was about to open the door when, Nick grabbed my arm.
"You want me to walk you? The rain out here is pretty brutal." he raised his eyebrows.
"It's alright superman. I can put these long legs to work. Bye." I patted my knee and then opened the door. Instantly, the cold water touched me. First as cold tickling water, but then felt as if small knives were stabbing my skin.
"Shit." I ran as fast as I could. Even if I was drenched in soaking anyway, I would've ran. The noise of the rain sounded like chattering glass repeatedly.
As I got towards the door I pulled out my keys and unlocked the door. My aunt, Lia was probably asleep or still at work.
She works at a center where she takes care of the elders.
I ran up the steps and stepped into my room. I was hoping to find Evan in here but he wasn't.
I peeled off my soaked clothes off and went into my bathroom. I took off my undergarments and stepped into the shower.
Feeling all the hot water cascade down my back was relaxing. I turned my body
around to have the water drip down the bridge of my nose and face.
When I was done with my shower I dried my body and decided to get into something comfortable.
I found this oversized grey sweater and put it on. It reached all the way down to my mid thigh. I got my black knee high socks and put it on as well.
Comfortable. I laid down on my back and fell into a deep slumber.
