16. Amy

As I was walking past Chris's bedroom window I decided not to look up afraid of the chance of being disappointed again by the result. Then just as I was walking past the lamppost just out side Chris's window I heard:
"Amy?" Without even thinking I instantly grabbed hold of the lamppost and closed my eyes tightly. " what are you doing?" Then when I realised who was talking I opened my eyes slowly and looked up to see Chris standing at his bedroom window looking confused.
" Oh hey Chris... just um... going for a walk... very nice lamppost by the way... very um sturdy." I walked away from the lamppost. I could feel my face turning red with embarrassment.
" Yeah... So what are you actually doing here I thought you wanted me to leave you alone."
" Yeah... about that there's a slight chance I may have overreacted." He let out a small chuckle.
" So your here because you felt guilty?" He said trying to annoy me.
" Yes fine I'm here because I felt guilty! Moving on." He smiled at me being silly making me blush. " So how are you? Haven't seen you in a while." My voice was quiet and nervous.
" Yeah Ive been in the hospital all week." My eyes widened with fear.
" Are you Okay?! What happened?"
" Yeah I'm fine I just fell." As soon as he said that I felt a wave of relief wash over me. I leaned against the lamppost and slid my back down it until I was sat on the floor.
" Oh thank goodness your okay." I closed my eyes and lifted my head up in relief.
" Amy are you alright?" I opened my eyes and saw the worried look on Chris's face.
" Yeah... of course why wouldn't I be fine." My eyes began to fill with tears.
" Wait there Okay?" Chris said before disappearing inside his house. 2 minutes later Chris came out of his front door. He started walking towards me and I got up and walked towards him. Then without even saying anything we hugged right outside his house without a care in the world it was as if it was just us and no one else in the whole entire world. I felt safe with Chris. He always knew how to calm me down or cheer me up.

Then after a few minutes (but it felt much longer) we started talking again but we didn't break the hug.
" I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you Chris." I said.
" And I don't know what I would do if I ever lost you. I guess that why I got scared." I lifted my head from his shoulder and turned to look him in the face.
" Why were you scared?"
" I was scared that you might not love me the way I love you." As he said this my eyes widened in shock and I began blushing more then I ever have before.
" You... what?" I'm completely speechless which makes Chris laugh a little as he smiles at me. Then he leans in close to my ear and whispers to me.
" I Love you." My mouth falls open and Chris laughs even more.
" I love you too." Then we both smile at each other. Then without a second thought we kiss.

*Chris's POV*
I couldn't believe it when Amy said she loved me. My heart skipped a beat and I knew then that this was only the start for us. Then it became even more realistic when we kissed and all I could think about was how was I so Lucky to have met a girl like Amy let alone have her fall in love with me. She was perfect in every way possible. In fact she was so perfect that some days I didn't even believe it but now I know she's just that perfect. Then I didn't even care if my parents saw me now I didn't care about anything other than Amy.

*Amy's POV*
I couldn't believe that after everything that's happened Chris still loves me. I remember when I first met him I knew that there was something special about him. I knew he was going to be important in my life.
And I was right.
