You felt disappointed, for some reason, as he let go of you and took a step back to face the teacher. Trying to catch a glance of his expression, you saw how neutral he once more acted. Was the eye talking something you just had imagined? You felt very nervous. The class clapped excitedly as the tension eased up a bit.
"Bravo. You're a splendid actor, Seokjin." The Teacher smiled, leading him back to the seat. You scuffed away and back to your own stool, confused. What had just happened? Puzzled you went through the scene in your head. The acting had gone flawlessly, with perfect chemistry. Then at the end, you two had been extremely close, looking in each other's eyes. You had thought the two of you acknowledged some sort of connection? But directly afterwards he acted as if nothing had happened and you were air. Or did you imagine that too? Seo-yeon woke you up with a gentle poke.
"Psst, [Y/N]. That was amazing!" She whispered eagerly, "Do you know Jin from before?"
"Uh we..." You remembered the contract you signed, "Only very little." She looked somewhat disappointed by your vague reply, but did not falter in her ambition:
"Because, you know he's from BTS and stuff." Seo-yeon nudged annoyingly your arm. Did she not see you were completely indulged in your own traitorous thoughts?
"Seo-yeon, we had like, a super, super, small run in." You continued, trying to look as if you were focused on the teacher who gave individual assessments to the rest of the class. Seo-yeon finally gave up, for now, moving back in her seat.
The class was shortly thereafter dismissed, given new homework for tomorrow. You had almost missed the task, drowning in your own thoughts. Did you and Seokjin share something all the way back to when you first met? In the changing room? He hugged you. Or was he just kind? He probably was. Then in the house, he kept looking at you and asking questions which Namjoon had to translate. Or maybe he was just curious? Probably. Why had you gotten your hopes up? When you finally had, for once, accepted that maybe, just maybe, you had a crush on this guy, you completely misjudged the situation and there was no way it'd be a thing. It felt depressing, so much in fact, you felt the need to rush out of the classroom as quietly as possible once the class was dismissed. The remaining classmates had swarmed him, wanting his attention, giving you a perfect distraction to flee the scene. Just as you were to leave through the door you heard him over the chattering.
"Oi, [Y/N]!" He shouted, spotting your attempt to flee. Just having him call your name created swarms of butterflies in your body. Damn yourself. You didn't stop. Straight out, straight out. Your phone buzzed, showing a text from 'Unknown'.
> "I know Jin was in your class. You're up to something, and lying to me. Do you want everyone to know of this???"
It did add to the situation, stressing you up further. Unfortunately, you just about made it out the doors into the verdant side park and exit, before you felt a hand on your shoulder. Having checked the text had slowed you down. That and you remembered how fast he was. You turned around and stood face to face with Seokjin. Butterflies weren't an accurate description to this. They were way too kind. This was like an angry swarm of wasps all on their period without chocolate and painkillers, buzzing in your entire body so hard it was tough breathing.
"[Y/N]." He said calmly, looking directly at you with a soft gaze. "You okay?"
"Y-yeah." You stammered, then cleared your throat to compose yourself. You were a grown woman. "I'm okay."
Seokjin smiled, looking relieved.
"Good." He nodded, "You busy?"
Oh my god he wanted to hang out. Did you misjudge your situation anyway? For a few seconds, your confusion made you upset. How bad were you at these types of situations really? Couldn't you just know. Ugh. However it vanished fast, still smiling.
