Virgil was acting strange, and Patton knew something was up.
Virgil wasn't acting like himself. He wasn't as quick to come up with witty remarks to anything Roman said. He was just sitting on the couch in the commons room in a strange daze.
The parental Side sat down beside Virgil; he was determined to find out what was wrong.
"Hey, Kiddo!" Patton chirped.
Virgil looked over at him. He took a moment before answering. "Oh.. hey, Patton," he said, smiling.
Patton furrowed his eyebrows. "Virgil, are you okay..?" He asked the emo Side. Virgil only nodded.
Patton frowned and looked carefully at his dark strange son. Virgil's cheeks were rosy, and the bags under his eyes were very noticeable. Virgil was sick!
"Virgil?"
"Hmm?.. Oh, yeah?" Virgil asked, leaning back on the couch.
Patton giggled slightly. "Virgil, you're sick. You need to go to bed,"
Virgil chuckled. "Pat, I'm not sick. I'm *cough* fine.."
The parental trait stood up, grabbing Virgil's hand. "C'mon, Kiddo. You're sick. I'll take care of you,"
Virgil obliged and stood up. He leaned his head on Patton's shoulder. "Hmm.. okay."
The two traits walked to the emo nightmare's bedroom. Virgil got into his bed and Patton pulled the blankets over him. Patton conjured up a glass of water and a bottle of Advil. He handed an Advil pill and the glass of water to Virgil.
"Thank you, dad.." Virgil mumbled, taking the things Patton handed him.
"No problem, Virge," Patton said, sitting on the bed.
Virgil swallowed the Advil with a sip of water then put the cup on his bedside table. He laid his head down on the pillows.
"Dad..?"
"Yeah, Kiddo?"
"Thank you for taking care of me.." Virgil mumbled, yawning after.
"Don't worry about it, Virge," Patton said. He kissed the emo nightmare's forehead and left the room, so Virgil could sleep.
