"We have to return to D.C.," Trevan announces once I arrive in the kitchen. He, Grey, and Joseph were drinking coffee while sitting at the dining table.
"Wait a sec, you had to leave D.C. in the first place because Jojo's got a million dollar bounty on her head and you're going back?! I'd reconsider if I were you. In other words, it's unsafe for Jojo to return to D.C.," Joseph explains. I totally agree with him. Look, I know---I can be kinda stupid but going to a place where you're wanted is a whole 'nother level of stupidity.
"Going off on what Joseph said, you're also wanted for killing Daniel Evans all those years ago. What do you plan to do, another assassination? What were you trying to achieve when you killed President Evans?"
"I wanted to rid society of such a terrible role model,"
"There's gotta be a peaceful way to settle things," Grey ejaculates. "Killing only brings sorrow and guilt..."
"What are we gonna do in D.C.?" I ask.
"We plan to expose President Wills' true colors,"
"How, though?"
"That's for the team to decide,"
"Whoa, I hate to rain on your parade, but you do realize how fucked up society is, right? It's gonna be hard to change their minds about him," Grey holds up his hands.
"We'll find a way, don't worry. Alright, gang, let's go!" Trevan claps his hands. Suddenly, everybody follows him out of the red brick house.
"Hey, Jojo," I feel Grey's iron grasp on my wrist. "Be careful out there. Don't do anything reckless,"
"Hey, hey, I get you," I nod before I turn to follow the others.

"Alright, since Trevan's driving the van, I'll be the one presenting the notes he gave to me about the attack," Mason projects a hologram of the White House once we hit the road. "Trevan will be administering the attack from the van. The White House has many guards surrounding the outside. I will go distract one of them while Jojo uses her technology skills to break inside the White House,"
"What do you mean, technology skills?" I demand to know. The hologram zooms in on the entrance, where there are many technology doodads on the door.
"The door has scanners to identify you. The only people it allows inside are President Wills, his family, his cronies, and his White House helpers. You need to manipulate them to allow us inside,"
"Oh, I see,"
"Once we're inside, Jojo, Raine, Anthony, Paul and I will go inside and search for President Wills. We knock him out, tie him to a chair, and put him on display in downtown D.C.,"
"What do Alessandra and I do?" Zahira queries.
"You two will be on the sidelines. Alessandra needs to be alert should anybody get injured,"
"Got it," a woman with a blonde pixie cut nods.
"Rest up, squad. We've got a lot to do once we get to D.C.," Mason says as I sprawl myself onto the couch and fall into a deep sleep...
Several hours later, the van screeches to a halt.
"What's going on?" I jolt awake.
"We're on the outskirts of town," Mason answers.
"Jojo!" a voice calls out. Could it be...?
