"You did what?!" Trevan gasps. Everybody is in the trailer, just chilling out and whatever.

"I killed Bradley," I explain. Of course. I should've known Trevan wouldn't take this very well.

"Why'd you kill him?"

"He was attacking me and my friend's mom Ariadna. Of course I had to do whatever I could to defend myself.

"Jojo, I understand that you had to kill him,"

"Bradley is part of Team Ater. Ariadna told me they're like the KGB of the Soviet Union,"

"Killing a person part of Team Ater is highly not recommended unless absolutely necessary. I understand that it was absolutely necessary, but it's still bad on us,"

"Why?"

"We have to leave the outskirts. We must flee to someplace where they won't find us,"

"What about Ariadna and Isabella and Mathias?"

"We'll have to leave them behind. Don't tell them we're leaving. On second thought, the name Ariadna sounds familiar..."

"Do you know her?"

"Maybe..."

"I'm going out," I grab my holophone and place it around my neck before heading out. Wind is blowing tumbleweeds down the abandoned road, creating an eerie sound that sets the hairs on my neck on end.

I know Trevan doesn't want me to tell Ariadna where I'm going, but she's like a second mother to me. And plus, she's Christian's mom. Christian has a right to know what I'm doing, but my priority is talking to Ariadna.

I arrive at my destination, the Holo Store, and search for Ariadna. Unlike earlier, it's pristinely quiet. Not a sound could be heard.

"Jojo? What are you doing here?" Ariadna whispers. She's at the cash register.

"I've come to say goodbye for now,"

"Jojo, you see this?" Ariadna pulls out a wrinkled piece of paper with 'WANTED' written across the top. Below that is a picture of me.

"I'm wanted? Why?"

"Remember, you killed Bradley out of self-defense. You should be aware that it's not illegal, but President Wills is mad because Bradley is dead,"

"Is he controlling Team Ater?"

"I said that they're like the KGB from the Soviet Union. So basically, yes,"

"How do I know that's true?"

"It's top secret information Trevan shared with me," Ariadna puts a finger on her lips. There she goes again, mentioning Trevan. What is her connection with Trevan? Does this have to do with why he was ousted from society?

"How do you know Trevan?"

"Do you know your history?" Ariadna raises her eyebrows. Shit. What was the teacher talking about on that one day? That's right, that was on the day of the party at Cynthia's house. I think I was texting on my holophone. After class that day, I remember I got a glimpse of Christian's notebook. It said something about the attack on the White House ten years ago...

"Did it have something to do with the attack on the White House ten years ago?" I ask, but I immediately wish I could take it back. Ariadna's eyes widened as she gasped.

"Do NOT talk about that," she hisses. "Anyway, why are you going to say goodbye for now?"

"I'm gonna have to go on the run, Ariadna. I'm sorry, but I'm wanted. I gotta get out before they catch me,"

"Understood," Ariadna nods as I exit the Holo Store. I head out and trudge alongside the desolate road. Where will I go now that I'm wanted? Do I leave Team Ruber, or do I stay? If I leave, I truly am alone. But if I stay, I might be caught by the authorities. I value my life too much to rot away in jail. So that leaves one choice...
