I sent my research to the FDA after explaining everything to Cristina, who could aid me.

"If it actually works you're going to put my name on it." Cristina yelled as she ran to the E.R. for a patient.

"Yeah!" I went back to my Alzheimer's research, which I would have to send all the files and recordings to the FDA.

"Have you figured out a name for the Alzheimer's thing?" Meredith asked.

"Mhm. I think I'll call it the Shepherd-Grey Method. Since your tumor trial long time ago was called the Shepherd Method." I suggested. I finished my conclusion and sent it off to the FDA. I checked my watch.

"I kind of regret kicking myself off of Derek's service." Meredith stared at the wall as she pondered about her life.

"Ooh! It's six p.m. we're off work." I smiled.

"Want me to give you a ride?" Meredith asked.

"Let's go!"

----- 2 days later -----

I could be doing a groundbreaking surgery for my groundbreaking trial, but instead, I was following my friends into the lecture room. The FDA had approved of my research on the trial I had thought of and they also approved of my Alzheimer's trial that was now officially the Shpeherd-Grey Method. I looked up at a board to see posters all about it.

"Dr. Shepherd!" I heard Richard Webber's voice behind me.

"Chief!" I exclaimed and turned around.

"I'm not chief anymore, but congratulations on finishing the Alzheimer's trial!" I patted me on the back.

"Thank you, but Derek and Meredith were the first ones to really work on it." I said. "I just made the drug more powerful and effective."

"Modesty, I like it."

Soon, Meredith, Cristina and I were taking our seats in the auditorium. I sat beside Jackson, and I didn't want to do that.

"I can't believe Altman postponed our grand surgery for this. I mean, it's just a stupid lecture." Cristina whined.

"Well, your husband said it was mandatory." I took a juice from her hands.

"One more hour of sleep, that's what it is." Alex rolled up his lab coat and closed his eyes.

"Oh, no, it's not going to be boring." Meredith started.

"It's going to be Catherine Avery, Jackson's mother, doing the lecture." April smiled excitedly.

"Do you know her?" I asked, because April looked like she was going to see a friend. "She's a urologist, right?"

"Yeah, and I met her when I was an intern at Mercy West. She's amazing."

"She's a lunatic." Jackson replied.

"No, she's not. She's brilliant!" April fought for Catherine Avery.

"She must be, after all, Jackson comes from a great family." I smiled and Jackson looked at me with a frown. I was trying to be nice because I would have to tell Jackson that I was his child's human incubator soon.

"She's toxic. She's a meddler, and my mom has no boundaries. Be warned." Jackson scoffed.

"She's your mom, and she raised you." I pointed out. "So you might be toxic. One things for sure, you make wrong choices all the time." I sighed.

"Is that why you shipped Lexie out of state?" Alex asked Jackson.

"I did not ship her away." Jackson said. "I really like her, and my mom is going to ruin my chances."
