Kylie
"Yeah I know. No, I'm on someone else's service today." I spoke to my phone as I looked myself in the car mirror, fixing my wavy brown hair and making sure my pale blue eyes were up to standard. I ran out of my car, and to the big block of a building labeled, "Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital".
"Geez I'm already here. I'll be at the residents lounge in a few seconds, don't worry, Izzy!" I turned off my phone, thinking quietly to myself, I can't believe this, the Mercy Westers are going to ruin everything!
I tried to shake off the worrisome feelings of new interns, rivals, and residents. I am June Kylie Shepherd, Derek's little sister. I am a third year resident at Seattle Grace Mercy West. Sighing, I entered the medical building.
The first thing that struck me was that there were way more doctors in the building than before, and most of the people there were people I didn't recognize.
"Mer!" I called as soon as I saw her enter the elevator in her hospital gown. She just donated part of her liver a few days ago. I ran all the way over there, not noticing that there was another person trying to run as well, and I tripped right over his nicely polished shoes. "Omph-" I fell face first onto the sad hospital floors and was stepped on by some dumb Mercy Wester.
"Oh! Oh, I am so sorry!" He gasped, helping me up and making sure I was alright. "I totally did not mean that, I'm sorry!" I looked at him. He was about a head taller than me, with tan skin and a beautiful pair of green eyes. I blinked myself out of it.
"Ugh, whatever. Apology accepted. Just don't get in my way!" I glared at him to send a message, and entered the elevator.
"Oooo, little Shepherd has found a hottie to yell at." Meredith smiled cheerfully.
"Well, you're happy today. Did Derek bless you with his gracefulness and say it would be all right?" I asked sarcastically. My brother was always at his wife's side. I have had enough of you guys having hard sex in the dark of night while I'm trying to sleep in the room across from you, but lately it's been a little quiet.
"Yes! That means today is going to be okay." She nodded at every word she said and put her half-empty coffee cup in my hands.
"Oh thanks!" We left the elevator, and set off to the residents' lounge. "Wait, why are heading towards the residents' place? You're not even discharged yet!"
She looked at me for a second. "Oh, yeah, right. Habits..." she continued walking towards the lounge. When we got there, she stopped.
"I'll meet you later. I need my happy, Derek-filled bubble for a little while longer." She walked off without looking back, so I entered the lounge. Derek-filled bubble, huh? I wonder-
I almost dropped my coffee when I saw what was happening. People were bustling about. Around three-fourths of the room was filled with Mercy Westers. A snarky and evil redhead was about to take George's cubby, Alex was arguing with another resident, and Mercy Westers were leaving their changes of clothing everywhere. I sighed and walked up to Izzy.
"Hey, no, that cubby is taken." Izzy frowned as she tried to get people to not take the cubby, the one that used to be so full of George's belongings.
"Well, we were told to pick an empty cubby, so if you aren't blind, there's one right here." She retorted with her mascara sharpened eyes and short-short hair.
"Sorry, but we keep it empty for a reason." Izzy shrugged, desperately diverting evil redhead's attention from placing her bag into the cubby. "Look, there are cubbies on the other side, so just take those."
