Chapter 18: The Family Reunion/The Last Gem

"Jasmine Is that really you? Where have you been all these years?!" Jermaine asked while hugging her. "When you left me with your "girlfriend", I survived in the African Desert. Oh, and there is something I need to tell you something." Jasmine looked down and played with her fingers. "What is it? You know you can tell me anything, right?" Jermaine put his hand on Jasmine's cheek. "I know where the last gem is." Jasmine said looking up. "What? How-" "How do you know about the gems? We didn't even mention them even once." Dawn said cutting of Jermaine. "No need. I've been studying them since Jermaine left me." Jasmine pulled a map out of her bag. "These locations led me to you guys every time." said Jasmine. "How do we know we can trust you? What if she's just a robot working with Psychopath?" Dawn asked Jasmine. "No metal or bolts in here, all flesh and bones." Dawn gave Jasmine a look. "I know you don't trust me because I just showed up here, but if you want to find the Green gem, come find me in my hideout." Jasmine threw a piece of paper on the ground with the address of her hideout.

In the plane at night (everyone is asleep except Julia and Jermaine)

11:07pm

"You never told me you had a sister. How old is she?" Julia asked. "I don't know, looks about 9 or 10 to me." Jermaine responded. "She's that young and yet she can study ancient artifacts? That's pretty impressive." Julia complemented. "Yeah, when she was three she already knew how to multiply. She couldn't even talk yet" said Jermaine. "Did she stay with you before you're parents left for Antarctica?" Julia asked. "Of course she did, back in Africa we didn't have schools, only parents to teach us." Jermaine looked down. "I'm sorry about your parents, they sound amazing to raise someone like you." Julia said putting her hands on his. "Is being a cheetah weird to you?" Jermaine asked. "Yeah, until you get used to it. The fur, the tail. The animal inside of me ... all of it can be pretty weird." Julia said smiling. "Julia?" "Yeah?" "Can I ask you something?" "What's up?" "If you were looking for someone to date at the moment, what would you be looking for in him?" Jermaine asked laying down. "Well, he'd have to be loyal, funny, in shape but not too buff, have pearly whites, light brown eyes, dark brown hair, and he'd ask stupid questions like this." Julia said looking at Jermaine. "I already like you Jermaine, but after we save the world I'll date you. Now let's get some sleep, got a BIG day tomorrow." Julia said walking to her bunk. Jermaine turned and smiled with glee. Turned off his light and went to sleep.

At Jasmine's Hideout: The Kit Kat

8:23am

Dawn knocked on the door three times, Jasmine was first one to answer the door. "We thought about what you said yesterday and," Kat nugged Dawn to say what she was was going to say. "I'm sorry for not trusting you yesterday. Do you forgive me?" Dawn asked crossing her arms. Jasmine gave Dawn a hug. "C'mon in, no need to stay in the cold." Jasmine said walking back inside. The team went inside and saw christmas lights and an abandoned bar and restaurant. "Where are we? A club?" Kat asked. "Yep. Me and my friends found this place and called it The Kit Kat. We love Kit Kats it's our favorite chocolate." Jasmine said walking up the stairs.

"You guys coming or what?" Jasmine asked. "We'll be up in a sec!" Julia answered.

"I can't believe kids live in a place like this. It's a complete mess." Dawn said flicking off a dead fly. Then a bark came from the corner. Then a Shetland Sheepdog came on Julia and attacked her to the floor to lick her. "Ok, ok, ok, I love you too! Now can I get back up?" Julia laughed while asking. The dog backed up to let Julia get back up. Julia looked at the dog and wiped off the drool from the million licks of the dog. The Shetland Sheepdog tackled Julia again and licked her even more than the last time. "You guys can go upstairs, I think I'll be here a while. Ugh!" Julia said with some pauses due to the licking. The team went upstairs.
