Chapter 16: Let the Games Begin Part 1

The Wild Catts helped Julia to the airport and on the plane. "You need some bandages or something?" Jermaine asked. "I need some water, and bandages too." Julia replied. Jermaine nodded and went to go get the things Julia needed.

"He likes you." said Kat in the corner. "What?" Julia laughed a little. "I said, he likes you. I can tell. The way he's always worried about you, he's always close to you. Heck, he even sat next to you on the ride here, and let you put your head on his lap to go to sleep. In conclusion ... he likes you." Kat stated. "That doesn't prove anything, besides I think he has eyes for someone else." Julia said with a sad look on her face. "Who? Dawn? Nah, they used to date but then, Dawn broke up with him. You like him too, don't you?" Kat asked with her arms crossed. "Pff! No! Why would I like someone with ... the whitest, cutest, smile in the world .Him being trustworthy and dependable." Julia sighed then went on. "He's just" Julia paused thinking for the perfect word. "Majestic." Julia looked back at Kat who had a wide smile on her face.

"Ok, yes, I like him too. But promise me this, you can't tell him, or anyone else. Deal?" Julia put her pinkie out. "Deal, but you have to give me something in return." Kat raised an eyebrow, she was serious. "Oh,um ... here." Julia gave Kat her golden flower she kept as a kid. "It's beautiful. Where'd you get it?" Kat asked. "I'll tell you when we get home." Julia whispered. "Here's your bandages, and water. Anything else?" Jermaine asked. "Nope that's all. Oh hey, no need to leave, come and sit" Julia patted a spot saved just for him. "Oh, thanks. So um, wanna see something cool?" Jermaine asked. Julia nodded. "I'll leave you two alone. C'mon guys! They need some private time together." Kat signaled Dawn,Drew, and Drake to come to the back of the plane and watch a movie.

Jermaine lifted his tank top, revealing a scared scratch mark on the side. "Woah! How did this happen?" Julia asked while touching it. "When my parents surprised me with that baby panther, I was overjoyed. I picked it up and took it straight into my room to play with it." "Then what happened?" Julia asked, excited to hear what's next. "Six months had passed ,my parents went off for the Antarctic trip, that day he got a little big for him to sleep on the bed with me. I made him a little place to sleep ... near me of course. He was upset and uh, scratched my side." Jermaine finished. "Sorry that happened to you." said Julia putting her hand on his shoulder.

"What about you? Have any animal problems?" Jermaine asked. "Nah, I'd never had a pet before. Besides, if I had the choice of picking one ... I'd pick a Grey Wolf." Julia answered. "Why a Grey Wolf?" Jermaine asked. "I just love how brave, mysterious, and majestic they are." Julia and Jermaine sat in the plane silent for a while hearing the movie in the back. "Julia," "Yea?" "I wanna tell you something." Jermaine looked serious. "What is it?" Julia turned in curiousness. "I-." The crew came back into room, interrupting what Jermaine was going to say.

"Wow, who knew that a animated short could be so *sniffle* emotional?" Dawn wiped her tears with a tissue. "Set a course for the west. Were heading home!" Kat pointed out the window.

The sound of the airplane made the whole plane go to sleep, well, not the "whole" plane. Julia was still awake, looking out the window in her bunk, thinking about the life she used to have before she turned into ... a freak. A monster. Something she wasn't meant to be. "Why are you still up? It's 5 in the morning ya know." said Drew rubbing his eyes. "I know. I've just been thinking about things." Julia responded looking sad.
