Chapter 11: The Villains Side of the Story

Leaving the sewers Kyndall changed back into her original outfit, grabbed her bike and drove back to the Foster Care. She ran in and signed in as fast as she could. Then slammed opened the door to see that the children were still awake.

"Right on time Lilly was about to put herself to sleep." Cameron said. Kyndall rolled her eyes and went to Lilly's bed, filled with stuffed animals and Lilly squeezing her new best friend. "Yawn* You came. Can you sing me and my brother that song you always sing us. Please." Lilly asked with her puppy dog eyes. "Ok but your brother has to get off his-" "Already did. Now sing for the princess so I can get some peace and quiet." Cameron said giving his little sister the stink eye. "Ok. Here goes. "🎵Na Na Na, Na na na, La la la la la la. If you say, love is true, I will always be there for you. And I will, oh yes I will, be by your side. All the way through and through you'll be ok. Na na Na na na na, If you love me for me🎵" Kyndall sang.

She kissed them both goodnight and went out of the foster care. She was looking for Kai but she didn't see him. So she went to her apartment to go to sleep and get ready for the next day.

1:04am

Kyndall was in her NBA PJ's and felt a hand come up to her mouth. She almost screamed and saw that it was Kai.

"Yo, you scared me! Wait how did you get in?" "You left your window open. Plus I was really good at climbing walls remember?" Kai asked. "So you live in a small apartment all by yourself? Pitiful." "I don't see you making any money." Kyndall teased. "So how old are you?" "23 'bout to be 24 next week. How about you?" "24." They both sit there in silence waiting for one of them to speak to the other person.

"You should probably go before your folk think you're missing." "Yeah, I should go. One more thing before I go though." Kai said stepping closer to Kyndall. He gave her a kiss goodnight. She got back in bed and smiled all through the night.

The next day.

The alarm going off awoke Kyndall and she knew it was to get up. She rubbed her eyes and put on her fuzzy pink slides and brushed her teeth, washed her face then brushed her nappy hair. She hears a knock on the door. She walked like she was about to faint, she opened the door and it was her dog trainer here to drop off her Shetland Sheepdog. "HI! Here's your pay and have a good day. Also you're fired." Kyndall said. "What?" "Yeah enjoy your last pay. Okay? Byeee." Kyndall said closing the door. "Woo. That woman was stressing me and you out huh? Go and rest now Ginger." Kyndall let her dog go.

She got her black spiky backpack and left her apartment. She got on her bike and went to school. (And guess what school she goes to. Yep, HAA) Kyndall got off her bike and got her uniform out of her backpack she ran to beat the bell. When Kyndall got inside the building she changed and pushed her other outfit into her locker, got her things and slammed the locker shut. Running she got to class right before the late bell.

"So, Ms. Smith, want to explain to the class why you didn't come to school on time?" Kyndall's teacher said. "I overslept? Plus my dog trainer was late to come to the door so... yeah." Kyndall said going to her seat. "Mhm. Ok class turn to page 26 in your books." The teacher said facing the board. "Girl, come late again and you might.." "I know but I had to deal with miss "Oh yeah this dog ain't bout nothing. That lady only cared about the money and not the dog." Kyndall whispered.

"Wow, sorry girl. Oh did you hear about that cool new villain on the loose?" "Which villain are we talking about?" "The new one she put those Wild Cats in jail or something. She's totally trending in school now. If you were here, you'd know that. Instead of you going to visit your grandpa now days." Kyndall's best friend said. Kyndall thought about what she just heard and if she were to tell her the truth then she'd probably get fired and not give her niece and nephew the safety they need. "My grandpa died last week and I also had to go to his funeral the next week after that. I'll tell you more at lunch." Kyndall said concluding the conversation. She went back to work before the teacher could call her out like the last time she had a private conversation.

Lunch

Inside the cafeteria Kyndall was finding a place to sit after she'd been gone for a week. Looking left to right, she found a table where her best friend was sitting she decided to sit there. Her best friend (let's call her CJ ) So CJ was talking to some other girls and when Kyndall sat down they waved at CJ and gave Kyndall the stink eye and left for "the popular table".

"Since when do you talk to the Cheer Squad? They're like amazing at everything. Plus they hated the BOTH of us for like... A year!" Kyndall said. 'I know right ever since you left to to go see your Grandpa or Grandma they started to hang out with me. Plus they're like super smart and they also do my hw (homework) soo. Yeah" CJ said digging into her BLT. "But I was always the cooler, better, good looking one. Why would they wanna hang out with you?" Kyndall said. CJ then turns her head with some lettuce hanging from her mouth and gave Kyndall a mean looking stare.

"EXCUSE ME?! I KNOW YOU DIDN'T JUST CALL ME UGLY! MISS ALL PERFECT-FOR-SOME-REASON-!" CJ yelled. The entire (and I mean entire) cafeteria turned around to see what CJ was rambling about. "OK.. what if I did? You really thought you were pretty. I mean I'm just remembering what you looked like back in the 2nd grade. I mean now in highschool I believe? You look greater than ever. *most of the time*" Kyndall said under her breath. "I'm sorry did you say something? Or are you too scared too much of a wimp to tell me what you obviously want me to hear?" CJ said all up in Kyndall's face "I said.. MOST OF THE TIME! I mean you are always trying to be in the spotlight, like your more important than everybody else!" Kyndall said.

"I don't even know why I'm even bff's with you! When we first met we were so close, we were like sisters, a family. But when we got into middle school you started to drift away from me.. Like, like a bird leaving the nest. Well news flash CJ, I've got my own playground now and you're not allowed to play on it anymore." Kyndall stormed off out of the cafe. "FINE!! I DON'T NEED YOU ANYWAY!" CJ yelled at Kyndall. Then the room filled again with murmurs and gossip about what just happened.

Gabrielle (IN CASE you forgot about her, go back some chapters and you'll get your noggin straight) got out of the cafeteria and went after Kyndall. "K? Kyndall you here? I just wanna talk." Gabby looked left and right looking for the missing girl. Then she heard skidding as if someone was running. "Kyndall?!" Gabby chased to the sounds she was hearing and soon enough she found Kyndall at her locker getting her things.

"You're not leaving are you? Everyone's wondering what happened with you and CJ. Wanna stay and talk about it?" Gabby asked. "I know you're just trying to be a good friend and calm me down. But I'd rather just leave and just forget about it. Oh, and if they wonder where I am.. Tell them I'm in the bathroom sobbing and don't want to be disturbed." Kyndall said about to leave. "But what if they got to the bathroom and hear nothing?" "Then put this pill (beats pill) in the bathroom and play it as loud as it can." "Where are you going anyway?" "Anywhere but here." Kyndall left the building without looking back.
