Damian's POV--
I've been tracking father since they left. I followed their every move. They located The Assassin's "lair". Not so much of a hiding spot. Meaning, trap. I am positive father is aware of that.
I jumped the perimeter. Another growl filled my ear.
"I hate dogs." I shot my grappling hook to the roof and climbed the building to the second floor, leaving the guards to bark. As i crashed through the window i saw Tim swing by, aiding Dick in his attack.
"You're not supposed to be here." I know that voice anywhere.
"Hello Red Hood."
"You're not supposed to be here Robin. You're dead, Remember."
"Mother wouldn't have set up a trap if she thought i was dead. She is aware of my condition. Very alive."
"Still, you're endangering the mission."
"What mission? Todd? Set yet another building on fire while fighting the enemy in what is clearly a trap?"
"Damian." Father came up behind Todd.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came here to help you! I knew mother would lead you into a trap."
"These Killers we are fighting are here to kill you."
"I can handle them father, i am your son after all."
"we'll finish this later."
More assassins started coming into the house.
"Mother! I know you are listening. I know you can hear me."
"How many can you afford to lose, Talia?"
"as many as it takes."
"The League of Assassins is broken. Talia. Call off your war, talia. Meet me. Let's talk."
"Now you want to talk? You made your choice long ago."
Father turned to look at me. His eyes were somber.
"This has to end, Damian. Robin, all of it. I thought it could be different. But i was wrong."
"What is this? I...I did everything...i gave up everything." i tightened my hand into a fist.
"Your mother has manipulated us into an impossible situation. Son, i wish it wasn't true but i know now. You have to go back to her. If you don't Gotham, the world will be plunged into chaos. And you Damian, are going to be responsible."
I couldn't believe what i was hearing.
"I can't father. I won't. I gave up that part of my life. I can't leave now. Everything i have is in Gotham. i won't let mother win."
"I'm sorry Damian. The choice has been made." He walked off.
