Lex's POV:
As Jace and I were in the truck going to the hospital I started thinking a lot about how we all ended up here, did I really want to live anymore? I held Jace's hand, he could tell that I'm in deep thought he just didn't know what I was thinking about exactly. As we arrive to the city I see more than I thought would be here by now there are zombies everywhere. I thought that this might be it for us it might be the last time I walk on this earth. Why is it so easy for me to think that? The thought just makes me sad even though the world has already come to be hell. Seeing the hospital it looks so abandoned like we are the last ones here. Hopefully we can get inside before sunset, the question is should we risk it? I look at Jace as he just keeps driving.
"Is this even a good idea, I mean there are so many zombies" I say to him almost having a panic attack.
" You're right we should stop and make a plan, get them on the walkie talkie"
As I start to take the walkie talkie out I hear Anna talking already.
"This wasn't a good idea, we need to keep going, where to I have no clue, but this isn't safe. I thought we could grab medical supplies out of the hospital, but it's so abandoned, even if we did find anything, god knows how old it is. We'd probably get an infection from it anyways."
"So what if we do pass this idea up, what if there is something good inside?"
"Do you want to take the chance? I'll go in with you, I'm just not sure if it's worth it, we would only have like an hour in there before it gets dark, we were dumb and forgot flashlights, so we'd be walking around in there like a blind person."
" You know what there is a doctor's office not to far from here I used to visit when I was younger, should we try there instead?"
"We'd have better chances in there probably, could probably pick up some suckers and stickers too. Camp out in one of the whore houses on the corner then?"
"Alright it should be up here on the left, but we have to get in fast, see you there"
"Okay, we'll follow you."
Anna's POV:
I pulled up next to Lex as we made it to the motel, I wasn't to excited about staying here, god knows what happened in these rooms and I wasn't about to ask questions.
As I got out of the truck and grabbed my backpack I yelled over to Lex, "Looks like your home, which room was yours?" With a smirk, knowing she was going to punch me for it.
"Actually that room right there." she says pointing to the nearest room.
"Impressive, should give Jace a room tour." I laugh as I unlock the room right next to it.
"Definitely!" She says dragging Jace into the room and locking the door.
Derrick and I stare at each other for a minute, wasn't expecting that. Kayla stands there with her mouth wide open, dazed and confused.
"Kayla you can take the couch in our room, seeing you aren't going to want in there." I say as I throw the bag in the corner and jump on the bed.
"Thanks..." She says grabbing a blanket and pillow "Probably going to need an extra pillow to put over my ears to drown out the noises that they're going to make" She says with a shiver.
"Yeaah, don't forget to lock the door, Derrick" I say as I shut the lights out.
Jace's POV:
"You sure made a scene out there, why exactly?" I say throwing the bags into the corner.
She looks at me laughing " Anna always says shit like that and it wasn't something she would expect." Lex says still laughing almost enough to fall on the floor.
