The following day, they were on the road all day. It was barely 10 miles to Dr. Gold's town and they were in a hurry to get to him to see if he could help Lois.

David and Ella couldn't stay away from each other and kept talking in low tones and giggling. They were getting on Tom's nerves but he decided not to say anything because he had been like that once with Jade, his deceased wife. He just wished that theirs wouldn't be like almost all teenage relationships. Most of them burned bright but only for a while.

Tom looked back from the driving seat and saw them lying together with their hands entwined. They were on one of the pulled back chairs and chatting.

"No funny business guys!" Tom shouted.

"Got it Tom." David said and sneaked a kiss on Ella's forehead and pulled her to him.

"And where's Lois?" Tom asked Ella.

"She said she wanted to sleep after I was done massaging her legs." Ella manage to get out before David pulled her to him again.

"Check up on her in 30 minutes Ella." Tom ordered.

Ella nodded at Tom and went to back to talking and giggling with David.

Lois had gone to sleep after the massage session. She was exhausted from the pain she felt and hoped it would all be over soon. She was deep in sleep when she woke up with a jolt due to a bad dream. She was sweating and when she passed her hand over her, she saw blood on her hand. Lois pulled herself into her wheelchair and wheeled herself to the mirror. She was having a nose blood and a terrible one too.

She quickly went for tissues from her medical bag and wiped them until she was sure she wasn't bleeding anymore. She flashed the blood soaked tissues down the WC. Lois contemplated telling Ella but finally decided against it.
Her sister was finally forgiving herself and having fun with David. She didn't want to take that away from her.
It's probably just a nosebleed. I'll be fine.

In the evening, when they stopped for the night, David set a table outside with candlelight and cranberry juice and biscuits. He couldn't take Ella out on a proper date so had to make do with what he had.

He asked for Tom's permission and blindfolded Ella and sent her outside. Ella was surprised how David had able to turn something as simple as a table and chair into something so romantic. She hugged him and sat down, ready to go on her first date ever with her first boyfriend ever.

"So, our first date. How do we start?" David said a nerve wracking voice.

"By being ourselves." Ella placed her hand over his and smiled at him.

Before Ella had gone for the date with David, she went to check up on Lois. Her sister was awake and going through her medical bag. Ella was so excited that it didn't strike her as peculiar.

"Ella, there's something I have to-," Lois began.

"David and I are going on a date! I feel like I'm walking on air Lois." Ella jumped on their bed and so distracted to not have seen that there was a streak of blood coming down Lois' nose.

Lois quickly cleaned it with a tissue and put on a happy face for Ella.
This isn't about me. I can't be selfish. She thought as she listened to her sister talk about how happy she was in a long time.

Ella and David were having fun on the date and getting to know themselves when they heard a scream from the inside of the car. It was strained and high pitched and they knew without a doubt that it was Lois. Panic stricken, they rushed to the RV and found Tom cradling Lois in his arms.
Her face looked ashen and she beads of sweat on her forehead. There was blood gushing out of her nostrils.

"Her breathing is shallow!", Tom screamed at them. "David can you drive the RV?"

David shook his head in panic and rushed to crouch beside Tom. Tom gave her to him and rushed to start the engine.

Ella rushed to the bathhouse for wet towels and put them on Lois' forehead and held both her hands. She wasn't a religious person but she began to pray in her heart while tears flowed down her face.

"I'm sorry Ella. I wanted to tell you." Lois whispered and became unconscious.

Hey guys! Do you think Lois' condition is serious. I wished Ella had noticed it. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope nothing happens to Lois.

Totally unrelated, I downloaded The Greatest Showman album and I'm in love with all the songs. I can't stop playing them!
