Chaper 7: Training.

-Narrative P.O.V-

It was 6 a.m when Bora and Lisa were awoken again and called to role call. The two walked lazily among the other tired mutants to a large hall that was in the center of the building. Bora had been here for about a month now, but not much has happened. Other than the fact that new mutants get brought in weekly and she still sits with Lisa, Jennie, Jungkook, Jimin, Yoongi and now her brother Taehyung.

Everyone gathered in the hall and stood in an orderly fashion, awaiting for the calling of numbers to commence.

"223?" The guard called.

"Present" A woman responded groggily.

More numbers were called.

"341?" The guard called again. This number was Lisa's number.

"Here." She called back.

A lot more numbers were called out and eventually the role call was finished. Everyone was marked present.

Everyone was about to start flooding back out of the hall but Dr.Park walked in and stood upon the pedestal that the guard once stood. She has an IPad in hand and set it down in front of her, and tapped a mic to get everybody's attention.

"Good morning all. I know this assembly was short noticed but I have a very important announcement to say so listen up." She began.

"At this institute we're introducing a new program. And this program is going to be a good opportunity for all of you. We're aware of your powers, and although they may appear dangerous there's still beauty in them. This program will give you a chance to put your abilities to good use. You will all be training and tested in the upcoming weeks as you'll be selected for law enforcement recruitment. This is an opportunity to redeem yourselves in the eyes of society and use your powers for the greater good, so I suggest you take this opportunity and train hard."

Bora looked at Lisa puzzled. "Training? Law enforcement and recruitment? This seems a bit odd." Bora said.

"Hey, if it means getting recruited and getting out of here, then count me in." Lisa said playfully.

At long last, everyone maneuvered out of the hall and down into the canteen for breakfast.

-Bora's P.O.V-

I walked up and stood in line to get my food. Taehyung spotted me in the line and came up beside me.

"What's the special today?" He asked. He still wasn't used to what life was like in the prison for mutants.

"I think it's eggs and porridge today." I replied as I glanced at the trays.

We grabbed a plastic tray and took a bowl and a plate and a glass of orange juice. Then headed to our table to sit with the usual group.

"So what do y'all think about that new program. Think it's legit?" Jennie asked the group.

"I guess so. If it means actually doing something productive and getting recruited to get out of here, I'm down." Jimin said and Jungkook nodded in agreement.

"Are you gonna do it Bora?" Lisa asked me.

"Fuck it, sure. If I'm gonna be stuck here, may as well make myself useful." I replied with determination.

"Training is after breakfast. We should check it out." Taehyung suggested. It was settled. My friends agreed and we headed to the gym that was on the left wing of the institute.
