Chapter 3: Guilt.

-Narrative P.O.V-

Bora and Lisa are woken up at dawn for roll call. The two girls are escorted out of their cell by a guard and are brought to a large hall where other mutants are gathered.

A guard stood at the top of the hall, and had an IPad in their hand. The guard proceeded to call out a series of numbers.

"399.." the guard calls.

"Here." The mutant responds.

The guard calls out more numbers and reaches Bora's number, but Bora is half asleep and doesn't hear it.

"Where's mutant 444?" The guard calls out clearly. Lisa looks at Bora and finds her with her head low and slightly snoring.

"Bora! Bora wake up! Your number has been called!" Lisa whispered and shouted at the same time. Bora wakes up again because Lisa startled her.

"hUH? HERE!" Bora calls just as two guards are about to leave the hall to go and look for her.

"Please answer when your number is called." The guard managing the roll advised.

Mutant's numbers are continued to be called until everyone is marked present. No one has skipped roll call today.

Bora and Lisa return to their cell and await for the bell for breakfast. 30 minutes pass and another bell sounds.

"There's breakfast." Lisa says. "Come on, I'm starving. Jennie and the boys are waiting for us too".

The two girls walked single filed to the canteen and received their breakfast. It was just simple porridge, but it's consistency is of cement.
Lisa spots her friends and guides Bora to their table. The group eat in silence until a guard walks over to their table.

"Could mutant 444 come with me please." The guard instructs.

Bora looks around at her friends hesitantly, and gets up to go with the guard. The guard leads Bora to a room that seems to be a lab. A doctor is waiting outside the door of the lab.

"Ah, mutant 444, please come with me." The doctor smiles.

"What's happening?" Bora asks fearfully.

"I'm Dr.Lee, I'll just be running some tests on your blood. This test will determine your strengths and weaknesses and your power and it's rarity." Dr.Lee explains.

"My.. rarity?" Bora asks.

"Yes, we check your rarity and we see how many are just like you." The doctor answers.
Bora is sat upon a table and a needle is taped to her arm. She watches her blood trickle through the tube and into a plastic pouch. Her blood glows. The doctors eyes widen as she sees her blood glow like this.

"Oh my, this is amazing! I've never seen anything like this!" The doctor exclaims. Bora looks at the doctor puzzled.

When enough of Bora's blood is collected. The doctor takes the needle out of Bora's arm and places a cotton ball and tape over the prick.

"Your blood will be tested right away, I'll be sure to have your results with your as soon as possible." Dr.Lee says and Bora is taken out of the room and brought back to her cell to find Lisa sitting there. Breakfast must have ended.
"They test your blood?" Lisa asked.

"Yeah how did you know?" Bora replied.

"They do that with everyone when they first arrive." Lisa explained. Bora sits on her bunk and stares at the wall. Lisa notices the silence.

"You miss home, don't you?" She guesses.
"I miss my brother, my mom and dad mean nothing to me now, they never tried to protect me like Tae did." Bora sighs.

"What was your brother like?" Lisa asks, trying to brighten her cell mate's mood.

"His name was Taehyung and he was the best older brother anybody could ever ask for. He had this goofy boxy smile that always made me laugh and he always tried his best to help me with my powers. He was so understanding too. I wouldn't have to open my mouth to tell him what's bothering me, because he'd just know. It's like he read my mind." Bora said, holding back tears, she missed her brother so much.

-Taehyung's P.O.V-

I enclosed myself in my room. It's been two days since Bora was taken. I haven't even spoken to my parents. I couldn't even look at them, not after how they betrayed their own daughter. They say I don't understand, but what they don't understand is the pain they're going to cause Bora in that wretched place. I'd trade places with my younger sister in a heart beat, just so she could experience freedom again.

"It's my fault..".

"It's all my fault, I should've told her..".

No one knows about my secret. But I should've told Bora, because she trusted me with her powers. I should've trusted her with mine.
I'm a mutant, just like Bora. My powers developed when I was 6. Bora was 3. I discovered I could move things with my mind, and hear others thoughts. I was scared at first, but I taught myself to contain them and I told myself to tell absolutely no one. But I should've told Bora.

I couldn't stand the guilt anymore. I've thought about this for a while, but I have to be there, for her.

I'm going to turn myself in to the M.C.C, and I'm going to get her out of there.

I left a letter to my parents, just letting them know that I'm not dead, but they'll probably never see me again.

I then thought to text my mutant friends. As far as I know him and the other two haven't been caught yet. Their names are Kim Seokjin, Kim Namjoon and Jung Hoseok.

Me: Hey guys, you mightn't hear from me for a while. I'm turning myself in, they caught my sister. I can't leave her alone in there. Idk if I'll see Yoongi, Jimin and Jungkook in there, but if I do, I'll try to reason with them..

Namjoon☠️: Tae, you know what happens to people like us in there..

Hobi💡: Taehyung! You can't!

Me: I have to Hoseok, they have Bora. And I know Namjoon, but this is just something I have to do..

Jin🌪: We understand dongsaeng, be safe in there.

Me: Thanks Hyung, if I see the others, I could erase their memory?

Namjoon☠️: No Tae, don't do that. What we did was unacceptable. We can't just take that away from them..

Me: Just a suggestion. Well, I gotta go, if you do hear from me again just know that I made it out..

After I text the guys, I called the M.C.C and told them that there was a mutant sighting in the park. After the phone call, I made my way to the park to give up my freedom for my sister.
"I'm coming Bora."
