-Bora's P.O.V-
I could barely think. Why would Taehyung leave his friends behind to be taken here? It doesn't sound like something he would do. I sat in my cell staring at the wall, lost in my thoughts as I awaited for Lisa to return from her training session. She then came in to the cell, but I was too deep in my thoughts that I didn't even notice.
Lisa approached me and shook me hard. "Hello? Earth to Bora? Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." I shrugged, but there was no use lying to her.
"Something's up" she declared, and sat down on my bunk beside me. "What's on your mind?"
"It's just something Yoongi said. About Taehyung." I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair.
Lisa looked at me with confusion. "What did he say to you?"
"He said that he used to know Taehyung, but then he said that when he and Jimin and Jungkook got pinned by the cops he turned his back on them and ran away with some other guys."
"Did Taehyung ever talk about these other guys?" She went on to ask. I had to think hard, but then I remembered.
"One night I was sleeping and I heard clattering coming from Taehyung's room, so I got up to see who or what it was and when I walked in it was Tae with three other guys. Their names were Hoseok, Jin and Namjoon." I explained. Lisa's face lit up at the sound of those names.
"I've heard those names before. Jungkook and Jimin sometimes mention them. If you need more answers, you should probably ask them or just go straight to Taehyung." Lisa informed.
"Hm, maybe. Thanks Lisa." I smiled. I had some sort of a lead. I decided to talk to Taehyung about it.
-Taehyung's P.O.V-
I was coming out of the showers and was about to head back to my cell when I heard somebody calling me. I turned around to see it was Bora.
"What's up sis?" I greeted my sister as I smiled, hair still damp.
"Tae I need to talk to you. It's about Yoongi." She said firmly.
I raised my eyebrow. What could this possibly be about? As far as I knew Yoongi didn't really talk to Bora much.
"Go for it." I said as I walked along the corridors with her.
"Yoongi said he knew you. From what I've heard you two used to be friends." She began.
"Yeah we were.." I muttered. Then I turned to her. "Bora, what has he been telling you?"
She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, as if she was hesitant and thinking deeply about what she was about to say. I didn't need my powers to read my sister.
"He said that you left him and the others behind when they got caught by the cops. Tae why would you do that to your friends?"
"That's what he told you? Is he trying to turn my own sister against me because he can't get over a grudge?!" I was becoming agitated. Is he for real? Filling my sister's head with nonsense when she hasn't even heard my side of the story?
"I doubt he's doing it for his own gain, Tae. Have you even stopped to think about how he's feeling?" Bora urged. She has always been like this. Always thinking of others feelings. But from what I've learned about Yoongi, I doubt he even knows what feelings are. He's always been cold. I guess ending up here has just made him colder. And that is partly my fault.
"I ran with the others because I was thinking of you. I couldn't just get sent here without you knowing who I really was. Bora, I wanted to tell you about my powers for so long. But I was too much of a coward to tell you and now I bet you don't even trust me anymore. Especially after what Yoongi just told you. I wanted to go back and save him, but I couldn't leave you alone either." I sighed with heavy regret. Sure, I still feel terrible for leaving Yoongi and the others, especially when I told them that we'd be back from them. But Yoongi isn't making life here for me so easy when he's getting inside my sister's head.
"I know you're not a little kid anymore and I can't tell you what to do, but as your older brother I'm supposed to protect you. Keep your distance from Yoongi, Bora. He isn't good for you if he is just going to manipulate you into feeling sorry for him." Before Bora could protest I left her to return to my cell, where I'd find Yoongi. Me and him are going to have some serious problems if he thinks he can use my own sister against me.
-Yoongi's P.O.V-
I should've been more careful with phrasing the way I told Bora about her brother betraying me. From what I've learned about her being here, she is very curious, and there is definitely no pulling the wool over her eyes. Judging by the way she was yelling at Taehyung out in the courtyard the day he got here, she doesn't like being lied to either. I can't shake the feeling that I've started something between Taehyung and Bora, but he should've thought about that before leaving me and Jimin and Jungkook behind. She asked me about what happened, and I just gave her a simple answer. Although I feel she might've got lost in translation.
I was napping on my top bunk while Taehyung went for a shower. Finally, some peace. I don't like the tension that rises when me and Taehyung are in the same room. If he's going to be my cell mate from now until I find a way out of here, then I should probably accept the past and just get over what happened. But Taehyung and I were such good friends, why would he leave me like that?
My nap was interupted when a guard let Taehyung back into the cell. His hair was still damp from his shower. I opened one of my eyes to look at him, and my god I have never seen Taehyung look so annoyed. I had a feeling Bora would go up and question him about our past. Better brace myself for a scolding.
"What gives you the right to go telling my sister lies about me?" He spits, crossing his arms in frustration. I sit up when he makes such a statement. Lies? I told Bora no such thing. I told her what fucking happened. Not lies.
"Lies? I wouldn't call them lies kid. She asked me about our past and I told her that you left me to be taken here. From what I can remember, that's exactly what fucking happened, so you can go shove your lies up your ass." I retorted. I could feel heat gathering in my cheeks. Not now. I can't let myself lose it now.
"Well what was it you exactly said to her? Because she's interogating me like I did something wrong." Taehyung asked as he rolled his eyes. Why is he acting like he's innocent? I've spent almost 8 months of my life here. He's been here a month and thinks he can call all the shots? I don't think so.
"She asked me why we don't talk anymore. I asked her would she want to talk to the person that was part of the reason why they were sent to prison in the first place. She then asked me what happened and I told her that you left me, Jimin and Jungkook and ran off with the others when we were pinned by the cops. Maybe I should get it on record next time if you have such a hard fucking time believing me." I grumbled. I don't like repeating myself.
Taehyung stared at the wall for a moment. He's thinking of something else to say. He huffs out of frustration because he's got nothing.
"Wanna know the real reason why I bolted like the coward you make me out to be?!" He grunts. I hop down from my bed and lean against the wall. "I'm all ears".
"I ran because I knew Bora was at home. I wasn't going to let myself get arrested before telling her about my powers. I couldn't leave her all alone either. I promised her I'd protect her when our parents couldn't anymore. But they turned out to be the reason why she ended up here. Then I couldn't let her be in here all alone without her knowing the truth about me, so that's why I really turned myself in. You do crazy things for the people you care about. I gave up my freedom just so I could be in here to protect her. Yoongi, you wouldn't understand unless you had a little sister of your own."
I'm taken aback by Taehyung's side of the story. Yeah, I knew he had a little sister, he used to talk about her all the time. But I didn't know that he was willing to sacrifice his freedom for her. He said I wouldn't understand unless I had a little sister of my own, but that's where he's wrong.
A/N : Dun dun dunnnn. I have a feeling things are gonna brighten up for Taehyung and Yoongi real soon. They just don't know a whole lot about each other's pasts so I think that's why they're finding it so hard to forgive and forget. I have an idea for Yoongi's backstory, y'all will see in the next chapter heh heh. I love you all ~Dannielle xoxo (No emojis because my phone is being sent off to be fixed weheyyy)
