SANYU'S POV

"Congo Sanyukta for winning the Nationals." I read this message everyday. I can't betray her. She is so loving and a great friend. I m sorry Nandini for what I have done to u. It was not planned, it happened accidently. Finally, I m back to Delhi after winning the Nationals and its been almost 1 week of the accident that happened the night before the result. Every moment flashed in my mind. How could I do that? I cant face him, cant face her. This is not what I used to be. The school authority wants me to come to school so that they could honor us. I have not gone to school since 4 days with an excuse of illness. One day or the other, I will have to. Oh god.. save me.

FLASHBACK

"The most awaited part of the closing ceremony is here. I know all the participants are eagerly waiting for the results. Here, it goes"

Randhir looked at me but I avoided any eye contact. It was not his fault. We both were dragged into that awkward situation.

"Third Prize goes to Ernakulum Region – Murli and Lakshmanika" They went to the stage and were applauded. Holding that trophy is my dream as well. Sharing that with Randhir would just be an icing on the cake.

"Second prize goes to Kolkata Region – Shubro and Geetanshu. Come up to the stage boys"

The intensity of the claps increased. They do not seem to be satisfied.

"Any guesses for the first prize?"

My heart was pounding. This is my last chance, I cant miss it. Rd was noticing my actions. He was equally tensed

"So the winner of the ABDUL KALAM QUIZ COMPETITION is Delhi Region - Sanyukta Agarwal and Randhir Singh Shekhawat"

I was about to fall after hearing my name. Is it true? Did I really achieved it? O God, somebody pinch me. Instead of that, I felt a hug, a tight one.

"We did it Sanyu, I m so proud of us" his voice choked

We ran to the stage and received our prize. Claps seem to be never ending and both of us had tears of joy in our eyes. It was nearly unbelievable moment for me.

RANDHIR'S POV

Sanyu has not come to school since 4 days. This 4 days seem like 4 years. Is she still guilty for that night? Am I at fault? I m very perplexed. What to do? This is something which I cant discuss with anybody. I miss her badly. If she doesnot come to school today, then I will go to her house and clear all the mess!

"See, Sanyukta has come" One of my friend dragged me towards her. She was surrounded by many students, all asking her about the experiences. She carried a fake smile on her face. Yes, I could read that.

"I will tell about it later on. Now I have to go" she left. She hates me near her. I cant tolerate her avoiding me. She is important in my life. Her sad face makes me sad. I need to sort it out

"Sanyu.. Sanyu" all the wanna be girls gave me shocked look as they saw me following her. They could not believed that I m following Sanyukta. They are not important right now. I need to concentrate on my Sanyu.

She walked as fast as she could. I had no option left so I held her wrist

"leave my hand Randhir"

I held it even tightly this time.

"Its hurting. Just leave me."

I dragged her to the store room nearby and locked the door.

"What are u doing Randhir?"

 She gave me a disgusted look. She wanted to leave but I pinned her towards the wall and went close to her. I could feel her heartbeat.

"Randhir, get away"

"I will do that. But just answer me. Do u regret that kiss?"

"I don't wanna talk about that. It was a mistake and nothing else."

"Really? Then why are u avoiding me? Did the KISS affect u Sanyukta Agarwal?"

"Not at all. I don't give a shit to it."

"Say it by looking at my eyes directly."

She was silent there and did not protest

"What happened Sanyu? Cant face the reality?"

"Yes." She shouted and tears rolled down her cheeks "the kiss affected me. It pierced through my heart. But it was wrong"

"If something feels right, then how can u say that's wrong" I questioned her.

"Shut up Randhir. I wanna forget that fucking kiss" she pushed me and was opening the lock

"I missed u SANYU, I missed u badly"

I AM BACK WITH ANOTHER UPDATE. GUILT HAS CONSUMED SANYUKTA FROM THE CORE. SHE COULDNT FACE RANDHIR FOR THE PRESENT TIME BEING. WHOSE FAULT IT WAS? THEY ARE SO CONFUSED TO DEAL WITH THE SITUATION, AFTER ALL TEENAGERS
