CHAPTER 5: first love

Jennifer's POV

I went home after school and saw that my mom was in the kitchen cooking, I went up to my room taking a warm shower and changing my clothes. I quickly took out my phone and saw if there were any messages from Clarie..

Clarie was my best friend in America and now that we're apart we contact each other every day. It was the most hurtful experience to leave her and another person but I had to..

Suddenly I felt my phone vibrate and i saw it was none other than my sassy bestie..

"Hello!" I heard a loud and excited tone In her voice..

"Hello gurl!" I said back with much loudness

"So how was your day?" I asked

"As usual, but how was yours?"she asked me

I told her all about my first day at wings highschool and was excited to hear everything and of course I couldn't skip about the new guy..

"So how's this guy jimin?" She asked

"He's.. well.. pretty friendly" I said

"I'm asking about his looks" typical Clarie

I sighed and continued, "he's pale and he is kinda cute.." I smiled remembering his face

"Ooooohh do you have a photo of him? Plss" she begged

"Yah! I just met him today!" I said

"Ok ok" she said giggling

Then after all the laughing we had some open talks. She said me about her parents divorcing and I was really sad for her. I tried to comfort her and cried with her..

"It's okay Clarie, I wish I could just give you a hug!" I said through tears

"I..m-miss you Jennie, it is really h-hard for me" she said crying

"It's okay, it's okay, everything will be alright.." I said comforting her

"I promise to come there one day and meet you" saying this I remembered about something

"Um..how..how is hoseok?" I asked biting my lips and holding in my tears

"He's fine, he's focusing on his studies. He's really determined to be a doctor... And he, he still talks about you" she said being unsure about the last part

"Hmm..." Was all I could say

"Don't worry, I didn't tell him anything" she said

"Thank you for keeping your promise.." I said

Hoseok was my best friend along with clarie and also he was the first boy who proposed me and my first love..
But I didn't accept him, I don't know why..

I liked him a lot but that day was the day I was leaving to Korea and I didn't say about this to anyone. So I had to leave him, I couldn't hurt him.. it was because I didn't want him to be hurt and him being hurt, hurts me.. it's because I loved him so much.

He deserves someone better. I thought he would move on but Clarie said he was just focused on his studies..
If I had accepted him and left to Korea then that would break his heart, it was better this way

I said Clarie to never say him about my true feelings for him and she still kept her promise. I told her this because I wanted to meet him myself and tell this to him MYSELF.. I'm still gathering courage for this day

"JENNIE!!!" Jake screamed from downstairs

"BWO! What do you want?" I shouted back

I heard someone coming up the stairs. The footsteps were nearer and nearer and then I was surprised when someone burst in... I quickly wiped my tears away and sat properly on the bed
"Where's the tv rem-"
"Hey what's wrong?" He asked me and came to sit beside me on the side of my bed

"It's nothing, and the remote is on the dining table" I said ignoring him

"I know something is wrong, you were crying..what is it? Tell me, did someone bully you at school?" He blurted out questions..

"No no it's not about school, it's just that Clarie called and I just missed home" I said quietly

"Jennie-ah.." he said coming closer to me..

"I hate to see you cry my lil sis, i know it's hard for you but just try to cope with it ok?" He said lifting my face and I smiled

"Thank you oppa" I said

"Wah, you're actually using honorifics to me!" He teased me and I punched his chest playfully..

"You looked so funny though" he said laughing
My bro was the same..

I punched him some more and he acted like he was in great pain..so dramatic

Then I heard mom calling us both from downstairs and we quickly headed down..

After we reached down, I saw dad and I ran up to him

"Appa, at last you're home" I said hugging him

"I missed you all, but now let's eat I'm so hungry" he said and I chuckled

After sometime

Now we all were seated for dinner and I was pretty hungry. I started stuffing my mouth with food when appa asked

"How was your first day?"

"Mmhmm" I said with food in my mouth

"What?" He asked again

"It was good" I said after chewing and sallowing my food

"Did you make any friends?" Mom asked next

"Ya..just one" I said remembering Lisa

After dinner I was bored as I was sitting on the couch. Then I got up and did some school work. Later I went up to my room and changed into my comfy pajamas..

I laid on my bed but I was not sleepy at all.. then I remembered something and I quickly took out my phone and added Lisa, I texted her and thankfully she replied. Then I just laid there texting with her and her personality amazed me. She was so active and cheerful which reminded me of hoseok..

Sigh..
