CHAPTER THIRTY THREE

The trial went smoothly, we offered our bargain to not let Jill lose her license. We opened up the idea of suspension for a specific amount of time but not totally remove her from being a nurse. Yes, we considered the fact that her innocent parents sacrificed a lot for her to be in that disposition.

Jill looked at our side a couple of times when she heard about the bargain. I failed to check what would be the main reason why she was looking at our direction but I reckon she might be thankful for it.

"Kanino ka sasabay?" Pilyo ang ngiti na naka-plaster ngayon sa mukha ng kaibigan kong si Mint.

I rolled my eyes at her. "Sa inyo." Matipid kong sagot before turning my back on her and walked towards the door.

"Talaga?" She bumped her arms with mine while we were walking side by side.

I stayed silent. Mauubos lang lalo ang energy ko sa kanya. Ang daming happenings ngayon at hindi ko na alam kung ano ba ang ginagawa ko sa buhay. Sunod-sunod ang mga ganap. Susme.

"Hoy, nag-away ba kayo kaya ka bad mood?" Mahinang tanong niya sa akin, making sure kuya will not hear any of it.

Hindi ko siya sinagot at nagpatuloy lang ako maglakad palabas ng trial court.

"Tua." Nanay, tatay and kuya looked at the direction where the voice is coming from. Jusko naman Blanc, marami kaming Tua ngayon.

"Hello po." Biglang nahiya na sabi ni Blanc nung ma-realize niya yung medyo stupid move niya. "Si Sage po sana kakausapin ko." Paalam niya sa pamilya ko. Malalaki naman ang sinukli nilang ngiti sa lalaking kasalukuyang may katabing mangkukulam.

MGA TRAYDOR! DI NIYO MAN LANG AKO PINAGBAWALAN! I am currently repeating those lines in my head.

"We need to go." Pag-iwas ko sa kanya but he held my arm.

"I need you." Mabilis niyang sabi sa akin. Tumingin kami parehas ulit sa pamilya ko na pare-parehas ang reaction sa mukha. Masaya. TRAITORS!

"I mean, we need to...uh...talk." Blanc looked embarrassed and smug at the same time. This person, ugh!

"Sige na anak, kausapin mo na si doc. Parang hindi pwedeng ipa-bukas yang pag-uusapan niyo." Malaki ang ngiti ng nanay ko. Pinanlakihan ko din siya ng mata pero walang effect sa kanya.

I asked help from tatay but he is just copying my nanay's reaction. Wtf.

"Thank you po." Malumanay na sagot ni Blanc sa kanila at binigyan pa sila ng billion dollar smile niya.

Mint hastily pulled kuya out of the scene at sumunod naman kagad ang mga magulang ko. I looked at Blanc and made sure that I've erased any reaction on my face.

"Hintayin mo ako." He commanded. "Saglit lang 'to." He released my arms from his hold then pointed at Cheska who is currently throwing daggers at me.

"Ang clingy mo." Pisik ko kay Blanc.

"Sa'yo lang." Seryoso niyang sabi. I swear kung hindi ko natutunan mag-control ng reaction, kanina pa ako nakanganga.

Cheska cleared her throat to get MY guy's attention. Yes mga beshie, I-claim na natin, haha.

"Go take a seat." Blanc told me to do so while pointing to the bench beside the reception area. "Huwag kang aalis don." Seryoso niya ulit na sabi before he lightly pushed me to take action.
