Chapter 29: Together Again

It was almost a year when I finally got over June being stillborn.
"Hey mom." Anna said. She was 11 now.

"Yes baby." I said.

"Can I go over to Anna's house I want to go hang out with April."

"Sure baby be home by 5."

"Ok"

She walked out the door and I sat down.

"What's wrong Mom." Jake said. He was almost 7.

"I'm just worn out lately."

"Ok I'll go get daddy."

"Ok thank you."

"Oh yah and can I go to Anna's house and go hang out with Hunter."

"Yes Anna is over there hanging out with April." I said.

"Ughhh ok."

"Be back by 5."

"Ok" He slammed the door as he was running.

"And don't slam the door."

I turned the TV on and relaxed. I was five minutes into my TV show when Jason walked out from the shower steam coming off his shoulders. I got up and walked over and hugged him.

"What's wrong baby." He said.

"I've just been so stressed out lately. We haven't had time together since June was thought about."

"I know how you feel."

"Haha I got it let the kids spend the night and will have a night to ourselves again. We can go to the spa or anything." I said happily.

"Ok that would be great."

I hugged him hard.

"What would I ever do without your help."

I walked to the kids rooms and packed their bags. When they were packed I walked out the door to Anna's house. When I got there I knocked on the door and Hunter answered.

"Hey Hunter, so I am letting Jake and Anna spend the night tonight so have fun."

"Ok." He said in confusion.

I walked off and ran into Jason's arms because he was waiting by the door inside.

"Ok so I was thinking we go to dinner and then come back here and rent a movie." He said.

"That would be great. Ok I'm going to go shower."

I walked to our room and hopped in the shower. All I know is that we went to Italian and watched my favorite movie ever. It was amazing having no kids around, but at least we were together as a family and nobody was sad crying or hurt.
